I dunno; Don't really want to give up on Goldobin just yet. I still see potential, really.
Turns out that imbecile double minor Gudbranson took in a way was the turning point in our favor but that guy was freaking awful
all game and Hutton saved his fatter than normal ass plenty.
Boeser skated a ton tonight. If there's no ill effects from that, HE'S GOOD to go.
Hey Dan: was there a pic intended back there a ways?

This is the funniest post I've read in a long long time.

Seems Pettersson saw your post and answered that eh.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 1:18 pm Horvat and Pettersson to fight it out for Canucks scoring leader.
Wasnt' it just a few days ago that we were listening to some of the talking heads go on about how Brady Tkachuk was making the Calder race a legit thing? 16 in 20 is nowhere near 30 in 26.....just saying.

Daniel and Henrik Sedin each had a five point game in their NHL careers.
Elias has had two in his first 26 games.
The last time a Canuck had two five point games in a season was Mogilny in 1995/96.
That's 23 years ago.
Just saying.
This kid is good.

Rookies with multiple five point games, since 1967/68 (ie the last 50 years):
1975/76 Bryan Trottier
1980/81 Peter Stastny
1980/81 Anton Stastny
1981/82 Marian Stastny
2017/18 Mathew Barzal
2018/19 Elias Pettersson
That good.
The kid is that good.
And let me just say - scoring was a lot easier in the 70's and 80's.
Goaltending is at a whole different level today.

Agree Micky, and we have nothing to lose really. Other teams don't have room in their lineup to allow a non-waiver eligible player like Goldy a season or two to develop and prove themselves. We do, so we should use this to our advantage.
It's not like we have other more promising young players ready to take his spot. Maybe next year Dahlen will give him a run, but until then keep him in, let him continue learning, and see what comes of it.

Careful JC, challenging complex delusions can be very dangerous, it is something best left to professionals.Jovocop wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 2:23 pmI think a lot of people here do not like Del Zotto and Schaller that much. However, most of us know that they are placeholders. As for Gudbranson, he provides the size and toughness that no other defensemen have. Granlund is just a serviceable top 9 forward that can be used on all situations.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Dec 09, 2018 2:18 pm
I don’t disagree with most of this. I just laugh at people who throw boulders at guys like him and Markstrom and Stecher but cut massive slack for Gudbranson, Del Zotto , Granlund and Schaller. It’s hilariousxhow polarizing it gets for various scrubs on the team, especially when the three first three I mentioned are out performaning the latter four.
For now just let him believe everyone hates Goldie, Marx, and Stech... and love MDZ, Granny, and Schaller.

Pretty funny, apparently the Blues are a mess after getting spanked by our Nuckleheads.

Taresenko apologizing to fans. Fans booing. Guys getting put on waivers. Some rumblings about already firing their new coach. Also a doozy, 2 doods on the Blues getting into a scrap at next day's practice.
I dunno if the Blues played that poorly. I thought we got a lot of lucky bounces though; Brockstar's shot hitting the glass and it bounces off the goalie for that 1st goal. It just kind of snow balled from there, kind of like that Boston game where everything worked for us. While nothing was going our way when we were in that slump, it was nice to finally see a game where things went our way.
