Green switched to opening night lines
Good point. Firing up that 2nd scoring line was the key. Did the cocks switch defense partners accordingly as well?

Read a little on their bitch page and theyre laying the goat horns at the feet of Manning
Manning....?

From a hawks pov:
That’ll go down as the most frustrating/annoying/infuriating loss from the first month of the season, so let’s get to some thoughts and then get the hell out of here.

Side note: A rant about Manning’s poor play could go in these thoughts, but that’s approaching dead horse territory already.

An unfortunate series of events:

I re-watched Vancouver’s game-winning goal at least a dozen times and I kept coming back to the same conclusion: it’s just tough luck. Toews wins a board battle in his own end and Hayden is in the right spot for an outlet pass, just the way the Blackhawks draw it up. But Hayden had just handed off his stick to Henri Jokiharju and couldn’t receive Toews’ pass, giving Gaunce a golden opportunity to score. There’s no way for Toews to know that Hayden didn’t have his stick. And the play happened so fast that I don’t think Hayden had any way of letting Toews know to not make that pass. It’s just an unfortunate set of circumstances at the worst possible time that cost the Hawks. I don’t know how else to explain it.

I guess that makes sense for Toews giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Blackhawks controlled the game first half but the Canucks held on long enough to capitalize on the Blackhawks errors to 'steal' this game for the 2nd half, so salute to the depth for being capable enough to capitalize on the other teams mistakes to win it.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Blackhawks dominated most of the game. Markstrom saved the day...again, and Vancouver was fortunate to score on the breaks/gaffes.

Loss of 6/7 Dman....who cares

No shit the roster is riddled with them

Hutton has been working out big time. He’s carrying Gudbranson like Ann Drennan used to pack the Dude around back in the day.

Hutton is making a real statement to be this teams third best defenceman behind #1 Tanev and #2 Edler.

Agree Blob, just what I was saying about a week ago. Now if Juolevi and Hughes pan out our D will be just fine.

The hockey gods were smiling on the Canucks. :D
First Kane was out with the flu .
Second Markstrom and the D held us in it with few glitches
3rd Jake caught fire at just the right time.
3rd a broken stick plus Gaunce being at the right place
At the right time

Amazing that the Canucks can score 4 goals without the help of our
star players, No, Eli or Boesser.

This line of public exposure will most assuredly exasperate an already existing conundrum;

Blob was never crapping all over Hutton and Stecher like most of the board. Gudbranson on the other hand.........

Well you did call Hutton fringe or a goof.
Blob Mckenzie wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 8:13 pm It’s a fucking fire drill out there tonight. Who is missing from the back end tonight that would make a difference? Gudbranson, Del Zotto and Hutton are all fringe guys. Hughes is at least a year away and Olaf doesn’t look ready yet. The only way to fix this is through a trade (not enough assets) or UFA.
Blob Mckenzie wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 11:43 am This time next year - Juolevi and Hughes on the team. Bye bye to some of these goofs - Hutton, Biega, Pouliot, Del Zotto

You should be able to differentiate Skyo

Sure I’ve probably had a negative thing or two to say about his play over the past two years. He hasn’t been great. But there is a crew (covered in urine) that has hundreds of posts bashing Hutton and Stecher. I’m curious if you’ll dig up any of those posts

We all know the three guys I’ve been picking on the past couple years and it’s mostly due to the massive chunk of cash they make. Birdbones has quietly been better the past season or so. Still overpaid and the acquisition or extension never really made sense, but he at least gives an honest effort.

Also I was laughing at Dude who said Ben Huttons deal was more offensive than Loui’s contract. Dumbest thing I’ve read in a while.
