Was a good test for a healthy Canuck's squad and nice to hear Travis pumped for the challenge. The Tampa goalie was really good and looked like he was going to get the SO, but we battled back to make it interesting. Good effort for our guys. It's too bad, if our key players were able to remain healthy and we were up for a wild card spot, I think our guys can put up a good fight against most playoff teams. Not saying we have the horses to go all the way, but definitely a darkhorse that can upset some teams and get on a bit of a run.

Time to go all in for that franchise D-man that has eluded our franchise.

B4 it was #TankitTorts
now it's
#TankitTravis! :D

Pouliot had a real bad game. He should sit the next one.

A weird one, I've never seen that.

Apparently it's because blood was drawn on the high stick = 4 minute PP.

So if Connacher failed to score on the penalty shot it would indeed have been a 4 minute PP.

But since he did score, just a 2 minute PP for the Lightning.

Make sense?
Ok, that's a weird one then. I thought the penalty shot for the high-stick and the 2 minutes for drawing blood.

If you get slashed on a breakaway, you get a penalty shot. If you fail to score, oh well, so sad. There's no trip to the box. So I would have thought that even had he not scored we would have only been down a man for 2 minutes.

Tampa is the best team in the league right now because they are all on the same page, not to mention solid goal tending.
Best players for the Canucks were Boeser, Horvat, Stecher and Vanek. With honorable mention to Edler.
Even these players didn't look any better earlier in the game but again, Tampa is good.
At least these guys busted their asses to make a game of it and that's what I like to see....

Not to mention all of the times when 3 of the 5 players on the ice for the opposition are named Kucherov, Stamkos and Hedman. That is what top flight talent looks likes.

Yeah. Especially when Edler got absolutely walked by Sergachev. Lol.

Markstrom deserves credit too. He played a helluva game and without some of his big stops that one was 5-0 in the first period.

Sergachev couldn't score but Boeser blew by Stralman and scored a beauty.

Yeah. What does that have to do with Edler’s defensive prowess?

Isn't Stralman supposed to be a better defenseman than Edler?

Stralman didn’t let Boeser take his jockstrap and go in alone on his goalie. Boeser just sprinted across the ice and blew a shot past Vasivleskiy. He was actually on Hedman’s side of the ice at the time he shot and Hedman was attempting to block the shot.

It’s like we watched different games or something.

Watch again. Boeser blew by Stralman. We might very well have watched a completely different game.

Yes. He blew by him ACROSS the ice towards Stralman's off side. Stralman tried to poke check and missed, but Stralman certainly did not get walked and let Boeser go right down main street. The only reason Stralman even looks like he's scrambling is because he attempted to skate after him instead of letting his partner pick Boeser up as he cut to that side.

Give your head a shake.

Edler is still looking for pieces of his equipment after the outside/inside that Sergachev pulled. Stralman got beat by pure foot speed. I doubt any other Canuck scores on that play, and not because of a lack of speed, but because nobody else can shoot like that.

I would be really interested in seeing how much TOI the Sedin's got in the 3rd. I didn't even hear their names in the last 15 minutes.

It's not a coincidence that we started to see more dangerous chances and the lines on the ice were doing more than cycling up and down the wall when they were "benched".
You have no idea how anyone can defend this contract ?

Obviously only a fucking troll could. It’s far enough in and makes zero sense for a rebuilding team so if anyone is defending it they are a troll. Period.
