GDT: Oct 30: Canucks host Stars - 7pm - SNet

Post by ESQ »

Well, I'll take a shot at creating a GDT.

Boeser out, Megna back in.

Bishop gets the nod for Dallas.

Canucks trying to get their first win in four years against the Stars.

Prediction: 4-2 for the good guys, Megna gets an assist and earns a spot on the big club for the rest of the year.

This will be a tough one. Mentally, it's the 'first home game' for these guys. They all had a day off, been home for a few days, haven't played since Thursday, lots of the guys have families and are doing the 'honey- do' lists and getting ready for Halloween...

Plus, we have won 4 in a row (gotta lose sometime)

Plus Megna is in the lineup..

I hope we have a decent start, and not shit the bed. A loss is ok, but we can't get blown out at home.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

And the Benning outfit is ok with this even though it’s his only point of the year. Skyo does cartwheels down Hastings on his sopping cart, the Dude fires up the glass beak, Doc pets his belly and Topper hugs a short person . ESQ does the slow clap and asks what he can do to be part of the crew

I'll rest my beer on the flat head of a short person.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

How is Jamie "I can't take a clean hit" Benn doing?

So far we haven't looked too bad. Markstrom earned that PK.

Vanek looks lost with the twins. First he goes offside and earns a rare Hank stare. Then that stupid no look drop pass. I'm going to admit it, we miss Boeser on the PP.

Besides the horrid first powerplay and the last second brainfart by Vanek, the Canucks played well in the first period. Goalies these days are tall enough to play in the NBA.

Vanek really needs to stop passing and stick to taking clappers on breakaways.
