Just checked the game to see how it was going - Saw Nucks winning so checked that stats. No wonder they are winning, lowest 2 ,on ice time, players so far have a last name of Sedin....TDA Rum wrote:Canucks up 1 -0 after first period

As long as Brock's getting more ice time than the Sedins, I'll be happy.

I know Green said that it was because Boeser was tired but if it was not for the fans screaming about ice time for him would Green of put him (injuries aside).
Nucks do need a teany tiny more shots in the first period.

Didn't see first period but caught about half of the second and the full third, so comments are based on that viewing.
Nilson - a very solid outing. I still think we see Markstrom in Boston with Nilson filling in on the second back to back. But if Nilson performs well again and Markstrom lets in another softie, we might see Nilson immediately following the back to back.
Boeser - continues to look like the pure goal scorer that we have missed since.... well Naslund I guess. His shot is definitely elite.
Burmistrov - quite the surprise showing (at least for me). Contributing all over the ice. Hope that he can show this kind of effort consistently.
Horvat - not bad, but needs to step it up a bit with that big new contract.
Vanek - that was just a laserbeam of a shot after Karlson's went off the post.
Gagner - if he keeps playing like this, definitely going to be the weak link of the summer signings.

Didn't get to see the game but watched a couple of highlights already. That Vanek goal was awesome! I mean, who take a slapper coming in at speed on a breakaway? He had no hesitation whatsoever. The look on his face afterwards ... he's got a bit of a fire in him too. I feel I'm going to like him a hell of a lot more than I did Vrbata.

A good game from start to finish. Good goaltending, strong D, decent special teams and three goals scored!
Boeaser keeps rocking. Going to be hard to keep him out of the line up. Jake with a good energy game. Vanek with a fuck you slap sot on a break away. Burmistrov on a good deflection.
I thought they played a great game. Nothing to be critical about that game. Can they keep it up this road trip?
