No regular TV.
No McDavid.
No Demko, no Boeser, both having "maintenance days".

No Juolevi...not a good sign. My take is hes still a long term prospect at this point...

So the book is written on the 19 year old? Interesting

Not written at all but nowhere near ready to challenge for a spot.

And that's fine, as long as he becomes that top-3 dman in 2-3 years. We know how critical it is to have players contributing on ELC's. I don't think we're likely to challenge for a playoff spot without drafting a blue-chip franchise player (which I don't think we have at this point). What's the rush? We shouldn't be afraid of letting guys like Juolevi and Petersen have their ELC's slide until that player arrives.

I do worry that Juolevi is not that top-pairing dman, though.

It's really hard to see exactly what we have. It is worrying that he hasn't shown many flashes of skill consistent with top pairing guys but in his favor I will say you can see that when he gains strength his wheels and puck protection skills will shine.
At this stage he looks like his draft day comparable Ollie Maata...more of a 2nd pairing type

So, because Juolevi is not so flashy, ain't dropping the Orr like spinoramas at will as a 19 year old he's very unlikely to be a top pairing D-man?!?!?! Ain't no rush to judgement here whatsoevAH!

Top pairing usually indicates exceptional skill or abilities no? If we haven't seen anything more than indications of an above average skill set yet wouldn't it start to become apparent where this player will top out?

Top pairing guys show top pairing skills....even early on dude. 2nd pairing guys show above average skills and that's about where this player was projected on draft day, and where he still lies
