I love my Canucks, I must cause I keep watching. But we area bad team. It's getting harder and harder to watch. I just don't see next year being much better.
Don't sign Boeser yet to blow a year on his ELC. Here's hoping they go to the frozen four. Hoping we have better draft lottery results than last year, maybe pull a Winnipeg. It's gonna be a long 2-3 years Doc.

Well we're almost down to 1-2 years now.Hockey Widow wrote: It's gonna be a long 2-3 years Doc.
I have a hunch that some of the youngsters are going to start creating a lot of excitement next season!

Boucher and Megna's book is written. Boucher has a real gud shot, but no pace. Megan has speed, but no game. They are tweeners at best. Replace them with Hansen and Burrows and we'd compete. Right now Virtanen is probably the Canuck's second best RWer until Boeser signs. That's a serious lack of depth. Shore looked okay. Unless he gets a lot better once he is used to the team, no biggie if he isn't resigned. Chaput is the only bottom six that seems to have potential worth exploring. There are lots of holes, but that's what happens when you trade players for prospects. From this point forward, I won't be surprised if Hansen plays more games than Goldie. The Sedins looked good for two periods, but once Boston upped the speed they couldn't keep up. Older players looked poor in the third, and Miller was left hanging out to dry. I'll say for the hundredth time, it's time to split up the Sedins and see what they can do with faster line mates. Another thing, I wish the defense didn't stop behind the net so often. Upping the pace would stop some of the forechecking that is hemming in the team. It seems like other teams rarely stop behind the net and wait for their team to get in position. Increasing the pace keeps the pressure on the defending team.
Positives
Granlund and Baertschi looked good.
Biega's hitting was inspired. He should be back as the seventh D next season.
Tryamkin play well. He skates really well for a big man.

little trojan with a rough night repeatedly bitch slapped by Marchand. Maybe Daniel can offer some councilling.
How long ago did I say Marchand could play on my team any day. I've always loved the way he plays the games.

Sbisa fumbling and bumbling on the fifth goal.

Totally agree! Not only the ones currently playing, but the ones that will be hitting the ice next year.Strangelove wrote:FWIW I think next year will be much better!Hockey Widow wrote: I just don't see next year being much better.

Steal a girlfriend or worse?
Personal bias is a hard thing to get over. Take the time to watch the games and you will see #51, (don't want to upset you by using the name), is doing just fine. Even throwing some nice hip checks. Big piece of the future.
Just wait. You'll be OK.

Compete for what exactly ? They were both here for the first 60 games and the team wasn't competitive at all.Cherry Picker wrote:Boucher and Megna's book is written. Wasn't Boucher a late waiver wire pick up?
Wasn't Megna an early season call up due to injuries?
