Fuck I hope so . The NHLs most boring team doesn't not need to spend 9-10 million + on goaltending. And believe me after Millers solid season he won't take much of a pay cut and he will want 2-3 years on a deal.
Nice to see some backpedaling from some of you folk who urinated all over the original Miller-signing.

THREE YEARS AGO you said Miller was too old for $6M X 3!

Do you really care if the team is "boring" Blobby, are-you/will-you still be watching?

A few years back people were saying Canuck fans can't handle a rebuild, this has since been confirmed. :mex:
Oh gee another red herring from Lumpy. Shocking !!

No idea how not bringing back Miller has anything to do with rebuilding but that's your shtick I guess. Kinda like your brown tennis player friend you turn a discussion on its ear .

Sorry if I hit a nerve, but that is very relevant to this conversation!

When Benning signed Miller, Canucks fans weren't being sold a rebuild
... all of which explains why they were careful not to use the word "rebuild"!

See, some blobs folks find rebuilds too "boring" for their liking.

Demko will probably start in the AHL next season but he will most definitely be the first call-up next year when needed.

All the Canucks gotta do is sign a cheap vet goalie for a year that can play 30-35 games no problem.
Yeah.....no question, Demko will be our first call-up when we need a goalie. That's some earth shattering insight there SKYO. ;) :P

I'm with the crowd that says re-sign Miller for 2 years and trade Markstrom if possible. Bring the youngster along slowly and keep the pressure off for his first year. 2 years from now Miller will be 38 and chances are good Demko takes the starting job and would have an amazing mentor/backup in Miller at that point.

So what does Miller originally signing or re signing this summer have to do with fans not being able to handle a rebuild? Furthermore this bullshit about fans not being able to handle a rebuild is complete crap spewed by Benning shills like Ian MacIntyre and Ben Kuzma. Most fans I talk to want the team rebuilt - properly. It should have started in earnest in 2013-14.

Yeah you havent carved up anything amigo.

I was addressing two different things you said in your post.

1) You said Miller is not too old for a $6M X 3 contract at this point.

(even though you said he was too old for a $6M X 3 contract 3 years ago)

2) You said your Vancouver Canucks are the NHLs most boring team.

(which I personally translated as you can't handle a rebuild)

Two different things you said in that post, see bro!

Hope this helps, no need to thank me...

I said Miller will likely get a 2 or 3 year deal at similar money I don't want him returning here. Go with the younger , cheaper option in Markstrom. He got royally fucked in the ass by Willie this year and he hasnt had an opportunity to get in a groove. He played very well in December but has only played a handful of games since then.

Again ,just because I say the team is boring doesn't mean I don't want a rebuild. Trolling 101 from you once again.

YOU said Miller will get a 2-3 year contract this summer @ $6-$7M per.

(no one else has said that)

And SURVEY SAID... #1 reason fans don't like a rebuild: "Too Boring!"

Yeah no Lumpster I said the Canucks should not be spending 9-10 million on goaltending . Markstrom will be getting 3.8 million next season and I think Miller may command over 5 .

Again your drivel about the team being boring and me not being able to handle a rebuild is another weak attempt at trolling .

Gotta love that math!

Wutevs Blubblester, YOU said Markstrom + Miller would cost $9-$10M total per moving forward.

(no one else has said this)

Markstrom at 3.8 and Miller at 5.5 is 9.3 million . Way too much money for goalies. Save the money for a rainy day
