There's a lineup that'll be pretty close to our opening night roster!

I didn't really watch the Sedins in the WHC so it'll be interesting to see them with Eriksson.

With just a couple of preseason games left, competition for spots narrows and the real roster needs to find its legs.

Chaput on waivers, yet still on the team sheet?

What the hell is Bachman still doing here?

Would love to see Rodin taking a turn with the Sedins.

Larsen though...he's looked like shit. What has he shown to make it this far?

Waiver eligibility? I think he needs to clear doesn't he?

WD just gave a radio interview.
Will probably experiment with Daniel on the point for PP. OK?
Thinks the game is evolving away from the big hard shot from the point, doesn't allow for enough net presence.
Personally, I think a guy with a boomer is great cause you don't know when he'll use it.

How many PP's have the Canucks had.

True...plus Larsen is less likely to sneak through waivers.

I don't agree that Larsen has looked like shit. I would agree he hasn't been flashy O wise but he's been steady in the D zone.

To me it will come down to pairings. He was paired with Juolevi one game and Hutton another. He may actually work well with Sbisa on the third pairing. Sbisa's game was a little better when he was back to the L side. He was our chosen lefty to fill in on the right side most of the time but player a safer game on the left. Still would not put him in the top four but it might make a safer pairing him with Larsen. Heck Trymakin back on the right with Sbisa might be fun to watch, or it could be a fire drill.

Well now Larsen is giving everything to succeed in this game, high quality players, quality ice time and the luxurious hard to get FIRST UNIT POWERPLAY.

Meanwhile Stecher 2nd in team points for defense, he and Edler forming a dominant force, the ying and the yang.

I'm not concerned with Larsen's offensive play; it's his all-around game that might keep him off the team. So I'm not surprised that he's focused on that area in the pre-season. Adapting to the NHL's physicality and smaller ice sheet should be his concern. I'd be shocked if he doesn't make the team out of camp, at least as a #7/#8. And rightfully so. To say he's proven more than Pedan or Stecher at this stage in their careers would be a massive understatement.

This is the first pre-season game I'll have the chance to watch closely. Looking forward to it!

The other thought is both Stecher and Larsen make the team, can't have too many QB's, lord knows this defense and team need all the points it can get during the season.
