Two months ago we wanted to get us a top five, then a month ago it was a top three. Then the first became imaginable. But hey, a top 3-5 is still ours for the taking. Would love to get Matthews but I'll settle for a top three. If I have to I'll settle for a top five.

It was fun beating the Sharks though.

Anyone else hoping, secretly or otherwise, that they avoid the dead last finish? Yeah it decreases our chances but this way it won't sting as much when they inevitably lose the lottery for first overall pick....and if, by chance, the nhl allows vancouver to win the first pick, it will feel like an even bigger win bucking the odds, especially at the expense of perennial losers like the oilers and leaves.
I for one will not be even a tad surprised when head office sweetheart Arizona pulls a "miracle" and wins Scottsdale born Auston Matthews via the old cold envelope maneuver.
That all being said, that's two too many points last night Canucks!

Willie put Horvat in PK situations way more than he should early, then with injuries even more, hence the ugly +/=
