Oops there it is. Giving up a two goal lead with 7 minutes to go. Still time to lose in regulation. A shame really because we have played a good game.

With Toronto and Winnipeg winning tonight, we are gonna be seeing Linden calling Matthews on a commercial in 3 months

Because Willie was trying to ice the best possible lineup to win...

I don't know how anyone didn't see that when fucktard Willie sent clutch performer Linden Fucking Vey to win the game.

But wow I didn't realize that he is -34 this season

Yep, having to play over his head in match ups. Which is why Sutter was brought in, protect Bo a bit.
Which was a smart move on the part of Benning.....but no clue how Willie D missed that memo early on when he put Sutter with the twins and Bo was still in over his head.

Desjardains is such a mystery.

Man, a few days ago, Dank was whining about some of his mates not putting in the effort and not paying the price to win. Well, he looked pretty weak in OT today as he chickened out in going to the boards to fight for the puck, some Pred just in there, got the puck and kept the pressure in our zone. Dank, just keep your mouth shut. You're suppoed to be a leader on the team. If you have something to say, say it the locker room or in the guy's face, don't go popping off to the media. Also, if you have something to say, say it when there's time to turn things around, not when the ship has already sunk. The kids are smart enuff to know there's nothing to play for this season, why risk injury? Tankitbaby!!!

The Sedins are two guys I do keep around for any rebuild. Skilled, certainly not soft, they've won major awards, and are pretty much the kind of professionals we should be HOPING Virtanen and McCann and Horvat turn into. If they were Canadian we'd be talking HHOF. Part of the reason I don't get the whole "mentorship" arguments being bandied about. We have two GREAT mentors right here and now. There is NOTHING a Burrows/Hansen/Sutter/Higgins/Edler... whoever, can teach that a Sedin cannot. You want Brandon Prust to mentor Virtanen how to fight? Fuck off, send him to boxing classes and let the Sedins teach him how to be an NHL player.

Talk about spoiled.

They will be in the HHOF especially if they can finish off their careers here with some more awards, the holy grail.

Those aforementioned can be split up, Burr/Higgs both will be gone.

The rest are here not only just for mentorship but to help win games, like Hansen whom imo is the MVP after Daniel this season, he's the ultimate workhorse of the forward group, he's relentless on the forecheck - with speed and can chip in with some goals, the guy should change his name to NoFear like those old stickers in the back of Surrey trucks.

Sutter is the do all swiss army knife, you can put him in any situation and be totally confident in his ability, from 5on5 to every special teams.

Edler with Tanev form an uber combo.
Edler and Tanev have spent the vast majority of the season together, playing more than 12 hours together at five-on-five, as opposed to just a couple hours apart. They’ve been leaned on in the toughest possible situations, matching up against top opposition lines more than any other defence pair on the team and starting three shifts in the defensive zone for every two they begin in the offensive end.

Despite being thrown to the wolves, they’ve been a very effective pair.

Puck possession numbers show their value in a very real way. The Tanev/Edler duo has a 48.2 per cent Corsi rating, meaning the Canucks only narrowly get out-shot when they’re on the ice, even though these two players are taking on the nastiest minutes the coach can give them. In much easier minutes, the rest of the Canucks have just a 46.8 per cent rating.

Putting that another way, Tanev and Edler together are able to bridge half of the gap between a poor Vancouver roster and the league average, even while the coach assigns them to check the Ryan Getzlafs and Anze Kopitars of the NHL.

Prust obviously gone, but at least he helped whatever he could for Virtanen back in Sept/Oct, and that's that, prusty took on everyone back then haha, then injuries (ankle again, leg) etc took its toll to an already slow fella.
