I think it is painfully obvious by now that WD is looking for familiarity in his line up. Players he is familiar with he knows how much he can trust them. Ones he isn't he has a short trust leash. Trust leash is like give a shit meter. Only the coach knows for sure what it means and how to measure.

If WD doesn't lose his dependence on familiar guys it could be a short NHL career. Sooner or later he needs to be able to judge NHL talent and then trust that.
