KINGS (18-12-8) at CANUCKS (21-11-3)

Season series: Los Angeles Kings forward Tyler Toffoli had a goal and two assists in a 5-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Nov. 8. The Kings have won five of the past six against the Canucks.

Kings team scope: Los Angeles was defeated by the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in a shootout on Tuesday. The Kings have 44 points and trail the Canucks by one point in the Pacific Division. The Kings have lost three of their past four games and their past five road games. Defenseman Jake Muzzin has three goals in his past six games. Forward Marian Gaborik has a seven-game point streak (seven goals, four assists). Jonathan Quick has started the past eight games for the Kings (3-2-3) and has allowed 22 goals.

Canucks team scope: Vancouver defeated the San Jose Sharks 3-1 on Tuesday for their third win in nine games. Tuesday will be their fifth straight game against a Pacific Division opponent. "These are extremely big points," winger Jannik Hansen told the Canucks website after the game. "You don't have to look over the standings twice to see that these are very important games." Hansen was fined Wednesday but not suspended for an illegal check to the head of Sharks forward Tommy Wingels in the game Tuesday. Forward Henrik Sedin has four assists in his past five games. Goalie Ryan Miller has allowed six goals in his past four games (3-0-1).

Where is everyone?
I guess everyone is still hung over from last night. ;)
Looking for your Hat trick on GDT? I'll go for that!

Watching that Hansen hit in reply it didn't seem all that bad (a bit of an elbow) so I guess that's why no suspension...

Looking forward to the game which can be a bad sign. They usually play bad when I am pumped for the game. Really don't want to channel surf tonight but it is a team game, if that's what it takes to win I'll pay the price

Is Kassian playing, read he is cleared to play, or do they send him to Utica for conditioning? If he does play, who sits?

Will Hamhuis be ready soon?

Found the Kassian answer. He is a healthy scratch tonight. Here is what he had to say about that:

"It's definitely frustrating...you can sit here and whine all you want, but it's not going to do anything."

"When I get my chance to get in I'm not coming out, I'll tell you that."

Love his attitude. He is pissed he ain't playing and will be fired up to not let anyone else take his spot.

He needs to show up on the score sheet and have a physical game without the stupid penalties.

speaking of stupid penalties, what is the over/under for one of Sedin's getting a lazy penalty at the other end of the ice. Seems to be a regular occurrence from them lately.

I have no problem with Porn Stache sitting him for a game . It is a bit cheap considering he was playing a regular shift before suffering his third injury of the year . But if it lights a fire under his ass then great . I think Higgins and Vey are candidates to watch a game with Tommy Boy fairly soon . I think the team looks a little soft and a little small without him in the lineup so hopefully this is a one off and the kid wakes up . If Porn Stache continues to give him this treatment I will be pissed .

Should be a good game so I am going to give up bikini watching at the pool ( ok I will take a "bikini" break between periods ) :) I expect the Kings to be pissed at losing to Edmonchuk and come out strong.. Agree with the Blob.. taking out Vey and putting in a hungry Kassian next game would be a good move.. Miller will have to be on top of his game again tonight .. Sedins penalties are more about their lack of speed than laziness.. Expecting a good game from Hansen the Head Hunter tonight !

This is a good game to dress a bigger line up...is it confirmed he's parked?

I wouldn't object to sending him to Utica for a handful of games to get him back to games shape. Would rather that than he be a healthy scratch. He was just cleared to play and we are coming off a couple of solid games so I can see WD watching tonight to see who isn't hungry enough to stay in the line up. It will be a tough choice for whoever has to sit.

Although it was a finger not an injury that prevented skating. I think he is probably in pretty good shape

If that's Dorsett or Burrows or Kassian they get two for goalie interference. I get so tired of seeing LA get away with that shit.
