Won't be possible.

I don't think Torts will keep him in past 2 bad goals let alone keep him in for 7 or 8.
Very true. Wonder how Lundqvist will appreciate this.

Here's a thought...how much better would Luongos regular season stats look if AV had been more open to yanking him earlier

This also places alot of responsibility on the backup under Torts. Just how good is Lack anyways?

I agree,

And I don't have too, i just do!

The problem can equally be split between Gillis and Waterhead!

Because every team that wanted to move a contract begged other teams to take it off their hands first via trade and when nobody would bite all the other teams put their players on conditional wavers in the hope someone would put in a claim.

Is waterhead really that fucking cheap? They wont give Gillis the go ahead to buy out Ballard?

What a fucking gong show the Canucks have become.
BTW, NOT A FLAME ... JUST AN OBSERVATION ... :P

I think Gillis was quoted as saying they WILL buy Ballard out.

Don't swallow the crap the local hacks are dishing out.

I personally guarantee you that your Vancouver Canucks will use both compliance buyouts.

Is there anyone else you can think of this year they would use it on or do you think next year?

I believe everybody when they say Luongo has not been formally asked to waive his NTC. He hasn't been asked to waive it during a trade call or fill out whatever paperwork needs to be done. However, I think it would be foolish to think that where he would accept a trade to weren't known to Gillis.
That's almost certainly true, but there's s always the human factor, and by that I mean Luongo. Gillis probably had a list of teams he would be OK with, but Gillis would still have to ask him officially in the event that it was getting close to a done deal with any of them. In that event Luongo could have waffled and indicated his displeasure if the potential destination teams were anyone other than the Lightning or Panthers. He was probably holding out hope that Tallon would change his tune at the last minute and give Gillis the 2nd overall pick. I'm a little surprised Gillis didn't offer Tallon something like Luongo, Schroeder, and a 2nd for their 1st. Maybe even Lou + JS + 1st for 1st and 3rd.....

The whole crew of Aquilini, Gillis, & Tortorella flying to Florida to make peace with Luongo.

So after offering a lifetime supply of virgins, Lu should be good to go come training camp.

Lu will also be on 993thefox tomorrow at 9am - can't miss radio!
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

They're gonna use it next year to obtain top prospect + horrific-contract-to-buy-out.

Don’t worry, not gonna mention being right about the Ballard buyout.

juicy gossipmongering
@RealBillWatters

Schneider 's exit from Vancouver was precipitated by off ice issues, rather than goaltending and financial as outlined in Gillis' rationale.
Maybe he banged someones wife. haha jk idk. :o
