Green may very well turn out to be a good NHL coach. But what are you basing it on? As I said before both Eakins and Willie were touted to be very good NHL coaches based upon their AHL records and both were highly sought after.

My GUT Lady, my gut!
My own personal feeling for whatever I know bout this ole hockey game.
Some times I like to think and theorize all on my lonesome.
No quotes from experts,
No reports,
No statistics,
Just what I think. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Holly hell, Boudreau is available. Maybe we should grab him while we can. He at least has an NHL track record.
Bruce "Haagen-Daaz" Boudreau would be a perfect fit. Both sides have a track record of losing game 7s.

Green might be a good fit to succeed Willie if we don't see better results next season and Benning decides it's time for a change up behind the bench.

Could be worth offering an assistants job this year to keep him in any case. He has a history with some of our young players and that might carry over.....just gotta be careful and not get sucked into AHL success with young players or you might end up going hard after Dallas Eakins.

And coaching isn't everything, Toronto has one of the best coaches ever and they had the shittiest of season's, out tanking the entire league.

So WD's good for one more season hah.

It's if you are contending do you want a veteran coach, basically the right coach for the right set of players and skill set your team has.

Plus other's are right, about all the AHL coaches who win a championship - doesn't always equate NHL success, some are lucky their NHL affiliate stacked their AHL squad.

- "Show me a good goalie and I will show you a good coach."

- Phil Jackson had superstars, Scotty Bowman had superstars.

In any case, #FixTheDefense

So true. Not much difference between the Nonis/Carlye regime vs the present Shanny/Lou/Babcock regime. If anything, Shanny is better @ tanking.

The Cock made $8M last year!!

And Leaf fans LOVE the guy!

These people love The Cock.

They also love Shanny + Lou.

Just like they loved Quinn, Burke, etc...

Give it another 1.5 years before it starts I figure.

They'll turn on Lou first, then The Cock, and finally Shanny.

Marner will bust, Nylander will crack under the pressure, etc, etc...
