I just checked the team stats. As of today, Dorsett is tied for points with Edler for 12th overall in total points, and Kassian is right behind them both.

Has a team ever finished a season with all 12 starting forwards with more points than every defenseman?

1 more point will Give Henrik 900 for his career. It will also move him into the top 100 of all time.

Interesting note. #113 all time Markus Naslund, #114 all time Cliff Ronning, #115 all time Trevor Linden, #116 all time Ivan Boldirev, #120 all time D. Sedin.

Strange.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

As expected. This protects him in that he still qualifies to play for Utica during their playoffs. The fact that Kenins was not sent back means he can't so I take it as he is staying.Seems we got our wish. After the TDD we have an unlimited roster so we no longer have to worry about roster size but are limited to four call ups. So even when everyone on our forward group is healthy we will have the luxury of extra bodies.

We already have extra bodies on the back end.

We can still make emergency call ups if needed.

Now do you get why they've been fighting for 2nd, and not 8th?

Well the Flames have played us pretty good this year. I honestly don't think there would be an easy opponent. The Flames series sure would renew an almost dead rivalry but no cake walk. I would agree we have a better shot at taking them out than the Kings but....

Yikes - the defence for the St Louis game was...

Hamhuis - Sbisa
Stanton - Weber
Clendening - Biega

I can't believe that the Canucks are hanging on to a playoff spot!

2011 Era defence:

Hamhuis - Bieksa
Edler - Salo
Rome - Ehrhoff
Ballard - Tanev
Alberts

!!!
It's a great day for hockey!

Will this be the first TDD where the Nucks don't make any moves?

He may be Kenins replacement in Utica.

The club has also reassigned defenseman Alex Biega to Utica.

I thought Biega did pretty good in his callup and looks like a potential NHLer. JB said his nickname is the bulldog and he certainly plays like it. For a smaller guy, he seems solidly built, is strong on his skates and battles hard. A Rudy type player. He looks like he can become a Mike Weaver type player and enjoy a long NHL career.

Yeah, I thought he stepped up rather nicely.

Does this mean Tanev is back?

Biega will be a UFA this summer, so that might be the last we ever see of him...
