Here is reason to be concerned with Bowen - on pace for 6 goals. To put in perspective - Woo currently has 6 goals. Byram scored 26 goals last season. Combine that with his ouchy WJC showing it’s not looking good. Did he have a one off Florida Garrison like season last year? For Colorado’s sake, I hope not

And to think ole Doyle is trading Godkolzin for him
Byram has always projected as an all around D man. No idea what Garrison or Woo have to do with anything. More red herrings from the Chef.
Bowen Byram with 10 points in his last 6 games.

Little soon to call him a bust yet.
It’s not looking good, Doyle.

33 games - 3 goals 18 assists 21 points

On pace for 6 goals 36 assists 42 points over 66 games

Last season

67 games - 26 goals 45 assists 71 points

Yikes! Brutal trend
Now up to 30 points in 37 games.

EDM and pending RFA D Darnell Nurse are finalizing a two-year contract extension with an expected AAV at a shade higher than $5.5M.

That's kinda a "fuck you" from Nurse. I don't see any discount, and he's a UFA as soon as possible. Me thinks Nurse is giving the Oilers 2 more years to figure their shit out, or he is gone on the open market.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

It’s Nurse betting on himself. He’s a good hockey player who’s going to be able to sign himself a real nice contract in two years in his prime.

MIN trades Jason Zucker to PIT for Galchenyuk, 2020 first-round pick and Calen Addison->a 2018 2nd round pick.
A similar deal for the Canucks woulda been:

1st, Jett Woo and Baertschi
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Remember when Zucker was one of those 3 circumcised chaps Jimmy was trying to land?

Has Minny has given up on the season?

Funny, earlier today Zucker was quoted saying he's sick of all the trade speculation.

But yeah, fuckin' Galchenyuk and his vodka eh? :drink:

Zucker makes more sense for Pitt. He will probably go there and score 60 points a year. If Elmer made that trade I’d be pissed. That said it makes sense for the Wild. They let Galchenyuk walk, get a late first and a good prospect. They also gain 5.5 in space next season. Win win for both squads.

Pittsburgh Penguins
@penguins

Zucker is signed through the 2022.23 season and his contract carries an AAV of $5.5M.
