I thought Sutter fell under (a), not currently eligible to have an ntc/nmc, due to years accrued and bring under 27.

Last season was his 7th, and he turned 27 in February, so it should kick in on July 1 2016.

to be honest I don't profess to know anything about the NHL buyout/recap or anything like it. I leave it to the experts and to be honest the Nucks have it in the front office. They take chances to see what they can do and don't always worry about 5 years from now. I will never fault a team doing what it needs to win a cup.

GOOD POST !

If you never try, you will never win. Risks are part of what it takes, always. ;)

Linden Vey signs in Calgary, one year, two way deal. They let Colburn and potential Jooris walk but sign Vey. I get it, the cap, but still.

Isn't GMJB trying to sign Jooris? If that happens, it is kind of like trading Vey for Jooris.

Thank you Calgary! You just got a nice going-aVey present.

Good pickup for their farm team, but better for us if he stays up with their big club.

If Vey stays up with the Flames, Virtanen might destroy him in the first shift.

If the Canucks sign Jooris, it will be Granlund, Baertschi, and Jooris for Shinkaruk, Rasmus Andersson (53 overall pick) and Vey.

Calgary just better be glad that Vey's dad isn't like Hodgeson's dad...
that could have been a killer with a better plan..
