To #Devils Sami Vatanen 2019 or 2020 3rd RD pick (conditional)
To #Ducks Adam Henrique Joseph Blandisi 2018 3rd RD pick *
Condition: If Ducks sign Henrique to an ext prior to 2019 Draft, Devils get 2019 3rd. If after then 2020 3rd. If no ext, no pick exchanged.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Jordin Tootoo is on waivers. There’s the DD replacement

He's 34 already? What in the hell!Blob Mckenzie wrote:Jordin Tootoo is on waivers. There’s the DD replacement

He and Kyle Quincey cleared waivers today.Blob Mckenzie wrote:Jordin Tootoo is on waivers. There’s the DD replacement
Prosser from the Blues claimed by the Wild.
Besides a trade the team can try to replace DD's skillset from within with Gaunce and Virtanen.
All-in-all a 3rd rounder for Dorsett was a shrewd move back in 2014, the modern hybrid knuckledragger if you will, can scrap, was fast, threw hits, 100% energy, can penalty kill with a vengeance (he and Sutter formed a solid PK duo under TG) and even pop in a few goals.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

This seems like a great trade for both teams in my opinion.Island Nucklehead wrote:Ducks trade Sami Vatanen to the Devils for Henrique.
Devs were desperate for a top-pairing dee to fill their biggest hole.
Avs were desperate for a centre until Getzlaf and Kesler come back.
(then Henrique switches to wing where they also need some scoring help)
The emergence of young forwards + return of Zajac and Johansson (any day)
... made Henrique expendable.
The emergence of Montour and progression of dee prospects
... made Vatanen expendable.
Great trade for both teams!

lol I want to see Gaunce and Virtanen play but they do not replace DDs toughness. Wake up SkymonsterSKYO wrote:He and Kyle Quincey cleared waivers today.Blob Mckenzie wrote:Jordin Tootoo is on waivers. There’s the DD replacement

I'd like to see Bo step at that part of the game, but it has never been a part of his game.
I looked up Jake on Hockey fights, looked willing as a Hitman but was probably a 50/50 guy. Coaches are trying to keep him more focused on his skills other than running around hitting and I don't see that changing.

Yes, hard to find a guy who replaces all that Dorsett brought to the table... and on such a great contract!Blob Mckenzie wrote:lol I want to see Gaunce and Virtanen play but they do not replace DDs toughness. I don't mind him running around hitting, as long as he's knocking guys off pucks ala Dorsett.Topper wrote:I'd like to see Bo step at that part of the game, but it has never been a part of his game.

Probably right Topper but none of the other forwards look like they can fight. Maybe Jake can fill in until Benning can find a replacement via waivers or trade.Topper wrote:I'd like to see Bo step at that part of the game, but it has never been a part of his game.

Maybe if Ben Hutton didn't smile so much, he could be ier when needed.

Bo had a good tilt with Nurse last season. The kid is a gorilla. I’d hate to see him fight other than when he had to but he is a strong motherfucker. Sign Archibald or take a flyer on a 13th type forward type to help shepherd the kids.
