Rumours that Linden is being considered for the now vacant Team President job in NYR. Boy oh boy this would not sit well with the GillisBros.
Where are these rumours originating from Pacific Blue?
1040
Do you think they are legit?
Last week Kypreos and Friedman reported that Ottawa offered Linden the president job and he said no
True, but he would be working for Melnyk. Can you blame him??
Take Frankie A., make him a bigger asshole and a cheapskate, and you have Melnyk. Only the desperate would take on that job. Linden doesn’t strike me as desperate.
Bob McKenzie:
"Todd McLellan is no longer a consideration to be the head coach in BUF. The Sabres identified McLellan as a candidate and had some dialogue this week but an offer/deal was never formalized/finalized.
The expectation is McLellan may be the next head coach in LA."
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

They're gonna love the new coach in LA, no matter who it is.
Clipboard Willy ain't exactly a tough act to follow.
Oilers update on McDavid gives zero information on what the injury is or his recovery time. Kinda weird.
“The Edmonton Oilers medical staff, in collaboration with top orthopedic specialists, have determined a rehabilitation protocol for Connor which will begin immediately”

The injury Connor McDavid suffered in Edmonton’s 3-1 victory over Calgary on April 6, was to his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), sources tell Sportsnet.
The injury does not require surgery and he is expected to be ready for training camp this September.
This deal will make Babcock the highest paid head coach by a large, large margin (the next highest paid is Joel Quenneville at $2.75 million a year). This could mean a change in the way NHL coaches are paid. Bob McKenzie reports that the contract could pay as much as $8 million in its front loaded first three years
