Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
rumoured cost for Marino from the Canucks would have been Rathbone + a 2nd, (probable 2023 second-round draft pick). hmmm
July 2022:
Marino, 25, was dealt to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday for promising defender Ty Smith, 22, and a 2023 third-round draft pick. Making that happen here could have meant parting with prize prospect Jack Rathbone, 23, which connected people in Pittsburgh believed could have been considered. But the additional ask would have been a second-round pick.
When that theoretical package was run by a high-ranking NHL insider Tuesday, the responses were telling.

Skyo....you should have been in media dawg.
Rumoured and theoretical are not the same thing lol.
Once again we have zero idea what happened behind the scenes.
Jr and PA could have tried hard for Marino and been told to pound fucking sand for whatever reasons.
The age old fanatic clamoring of we should have, we could have means nothing.

Have.
No.

The Pens needed to clear cap. But I would have done Rathbone plus for Marino.
The only HW the Canucks need
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
True, true Donny, albeit, the Rathbone + 2nd is pretty close to what they got in Ty Smith + 3rd.donlever wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 12:25 pm Skyo....you should have been in media dawg.

He's the kind of guy who goes to a brawl and is surprised when a hockey game breaks out.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 7:55 pmBeauty!donlever wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 7:51 pm Bill Goldthorpe...the man behind Ogie Ogilthorpe.
