OFFICIAL: #NYR have acquired a first-round pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, defenseman Ryan Lindgren, forwards Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey, and a seventh-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft from the Bruins in exchange for Rick Nash.

Nuckles/Bubbles favourite - Sweeney is going to regret that one Bigly Time! Terrible trade for Boston. Holy hell did Sweeney ever get raped. Idiot

Habs trade Plekanec to leaves for Rychel, Valiev and a 2nd round pick.
Rumour is Plekanec may return to Montreal this summer.Sportsnet’s Eric Engels says that Montreal had a deal in place to send Plekanec to the Winnipeg Jets, but that general manager Marc Bergevin worked to keep Plekanec in the Eastern Conference, which the player preferred.
There is no no-trade protection in Plekanec’s contract.
TVA’s Renaud Lavoie is reporting that the Canadiens will retain 50 per cent of Plekanec’s $6 million salary, which pro-rates to almost a $1.3-million cap hit as of Sunday.

Shit I'd take 6'2 239lbs Chris Stewart whose on waivers.
1.15m cap.
""Owns tremendous size and strength, and is at his best when working the corners of the ice. Is physical and can play with a warrior's mentality. Is fast for his size and has what it takes to score goals, including a bullet for a shot.""

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

From SN:
RALEIGH, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes say the infant daughter of team co-captain Jordan Staal has died.
Team spokesman Mike Sundheim said Sunday that Staal told him his daughter Hannah died Saturday.
Staal missed the team’s two games this weekend because of family and personal reasons.
A statement issued by the team requested privacy for the family.
RIP little one. Condolences to Staal and family.

Great trade by Jimbro getting the 31st ranked NHL affiliated prospect SWEDISH stud - Dahlen (2016 Draft Alumni, 2nd round), out of Ottawa for an old man on his last legs, now being waived. We are all Jim Benning

Read yesterday that the final straw for Karlson in Ottawa was Melynk complying that he never paid the team back for an Uber ride.

Apparently there was a big melee in the dressing room . Next thing you know Burrows and Oduya are on waivers.
Absolutely no to bringing back the biter. He looked done in the second round of last years playoffs.

Yes, a few days ago, word was GMPD came into the room to address the team and they drowned him out with loud music.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2018 2:22 pm Apparently there was a big melee in the dressing room . Next thing you know Burrows and Oduya are on waivers.
Nothing to do with Burrows going on waivers though, he wasn't there...

Lol Friedman said if Backlund didn’t re- up in Calgary that he was coming here. I’m curious how the Davidian outfit would spin that considering they vehemently argued that Sutter was better or had a better contract to say the least.

1). Friedman often pulls tidbits like these out his backside.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 10:09 pm Lol Friedman said if Backlund didn’t re- up in Calgary that he was coming here. 2). If true, GMJB may have been hoping to get him at a fair price (half what GMBT gave him).
