Look for the Daoust ones then dont tell him how its pronounced
I've got a pair of my dad's old Daoust tube skates from the 40s hanging on a wall in the wreck room.

He was a damn fine hockey player my dad, scouted by the Hawks once upon a time!

So Dumbass has to move 3 roster players to fit Zach Hyman's cap on his return? Good luck with that

I suppose they could sneak guys through waivers though. Nobody wants their garbage.

Oh yeah, they have a few guys on the roster who will slide right on through waivers.

Are they really gonna run with a 20 man roster and rely on emergency callups for injuries?

I think they would have to play a game one man short before they can do that.

And emergency callups must make $700K or less if I recall.

Here's hoping for a rash of 2-week injuries! :drink:

It's challenging to pick a name that doesn't clash with the other major sports. Seattle currently have a coastal theme for all their teams: Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders (although the impending? return of the Sonics breaks that trend). They could try to stay somewhat maritime or coastal, but it seems like the logical choices already exist in another sport (Falcons, Eagles, Ravens, Pirates). Even the, non-Maritime, Metropolitans with its historical connection seems unusable with the New York Mets in existence. Storm? Taken... by Seattle's WNBA team. Seattle Torrent? Nope, already taken by a women's pro-soccer team in Milwaukee.

Regarding bad names, if 'Ducks' has managed to persevere, anything is possible.

So, how about Seattle Flounders?

The Oil tried half of that equation with their thirds a few years back.

Plenty of ideas to throw around. Take a while but something will stick eventually, I'm sure.

How about Seattle Tree-hugging Grunge Band drinking Pretentious Fair Trade Starbucks Latte. It'd make a great logo.

https://www.tsn.ca/taylor-hall-on-boos- ... -1.1390293
"We’re kind of battling our own fans at this point," Hall told NorthJersey.com. "We’re 1-for-3 on the power play and we’re getting booed. It’s a tie game and we’re getting booed. That’s a tough environment to play in sometimes, especially when you’re at home. I know when we’re playing somewhere and their fans start booing, it’s a fun environment for the away team to play in."
Joisey fans have been booing the team at times lately for some really shitty efforts.

Taylor Hall in typical whiny Hallian fashion whined about it in the press (above).

Said whining was, predictably, met with outrage from the fanbase.

Ms Hall responds to said outrage+booing, after scoring a fluky clown goal, with:

Image

Hand-to-the-ear charade no doubt meant to convey "Where's your booing NOW y'baastaads?"

Fair to expect impending UFA Hall to be traded soon then, rather than extended? :mex:

Yeah we always knew he was a dumbass punk didn't we, he belongs in TO...
