wow

Do you buy low?
I’d take a gamble. I think he could be a power forward in this league. Two bad hips and playing for Edmonton? Trade Goldobin straight up.
The only HW the Canucks need

No, no, no, just no.

Puljujarvi is dumber than Virtanen and Booth combined.
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau

Not sure I'd give up on him just yet. This is a guy who had 17 points in 12 games at the WJC.
He has won WJC-18 and WJC-20 gold and the Finnish championship.

Last season he looked pretty bad (hip issues?), but the season before that he had 20 points in 65 games in a limited role (13 minutes per game).
If the hips are fixed and he can bounce back to form....

Come on, this kid is just 21 years old! He scored 12 goals in 65 games in the NHL as a 20-year old.
And at 6'4" and 200+ pounds he adds size to the lineup.

If the price is right, I say go for it!

Isn't it generally thought that power forwards take longer to reach their prime?
If he is at a 15 goal 25 point pace at 20, he could easy become a 40 point power forward in his prime.
That's not cat shit imho. :mex:

How about Eriksson and Goldobin for Puljujärvi? :look:
Whatever you do, always give 100 %!
Except when donating blood.

Juolevi for him would be more realistic

Nah, Juolevi > Puljujarvi, especially for the Canucks. They need defensemen, not another forward with question marks. I would not mind trading Goldobin plus a 7th rounder for Puljujarvi though.

Agree totally but the coil wont make that move. Theyll want another stumbling highly touted prospect.

For van staying away and just developing what they have is better than getting involved with whiney rookies

Is Goldobin not a highly touted prospect?

Edmonton is loaded with young D prospects. I think they’d prefer a forward for Puljujärvi

For a few reasons, doubt the Oilers would do anything with the Canucks right now.
Unless it's along thines of sabotage. Too tight in the Pacific.

Brian Hedger:

Also heard Provorov's camp asked for $10m cap hit, which I'm hoping/guessing was attached to an eight-year deal.

-

Zach Werenski seeking three-year contract at $5 million-plus annually, source says
Quinn Hughes comp's in a couple years, more so Werenski imesho if we see QH shine bright like a diamond.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Matthew Tkachuk’s agent: We gave a fair offer to Flames in June:

I'm hoping Agent Ben Hankinson/Boeser, is easier to deal with than Agent Meehan/Tkachuk.

GRAND MARAIS, Minn. — A former professional hockey player and forward for the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” Olympic team has been charged with felony assault for allegedly beating his neighbor with a metal pole, breaking several bones.

Mark Pavelich, 61, faces multiple counts. According to a criminal complaint, the assault happened last week in Pavelich’s home in northern Minnesota after he and his neighbor returned from fishing.

The complaint says Pavelich told authorities he believed the man “spiked” his beer, prompting the alleged assault. KMSP-TV reports the victim had a bruised kidney and several broken bones including two cracked ribs and a fractured vertebra. First responders found him in “shock” with “obvious disfigurement of his leg.”
