I never really thought of that part of it. I just think they set the bar so low for this team and he only played here seven years and he laid an egg in four games of the finals
Na, no retiring the jersey ceremony for poker man Lou.
He wins a f**king gold medal in that building then 15 months later, can't get the important prize with multiple opportunities

Yeah, I agree. If Louie won us a cup or a Vezina or maybe if he didn't get traded back to Florida, then by all means his jersey should be retired. IMO he should just be ring of honor. I think he was close to the Aquas though, so I wouldn't be surprised if they retired his jersey anyways.

I liked Roberto but it will be a joke if the Canucks retire his sweater as well
That's a decision only " the family" can make. Maybe the call Mike for some input.
I am with Blobbie on this one. If Lou wanted his number retired here (and his stats make it possible), he should have been traded back here, then gone on LTIR. But, he screwed us for $2.2mil in cap space for 3 years. Sorry if I don't support his jersey swinging from the rafters.

Maybe we can hang a beachball with his number on it

It wasn’t Lou’s fault.
It was the referees swallowing their whistles.
