Not a very nice relative wanting him to come back in the lineup to get bootfucked.

Byron Bitz is about as tough as Lars Lindgren or Marek Malik.

You may be right, I've never seen him play/fight but he has taken on some heavy weights in his time and frankly he's all we got. Where did you see him play/fight or is this supposition

there's a website called dropyourgloves.com.

When I saw the signing and the size of the dude I was stoked..... but he isn't much of a fighter.

Well you know what they say Blob, you don't have to win them all you just have to answer the bell and this guy may be the only player on both roster ( Vcr + Chi ) who might...might do that with an opposing heavy weight.

After Lucic being unable to parade his Cup in Vcr me thinks he's looking forward to the Canucks visit in January aided and abetted by every ones friend Marchant. MG might get excited up in his box in Boston but he'll be imploring the players to turn the other cheek on the ice and most will be only too happy to do that :D

And you'd think growing up playing hockey with a name like Byron Bitz would make you tough. Kinda like Jody Shelley.

Mom and dad must of been really pissed they were having a baby.

Lines at pratice.

Sedins-Burrows
Higgins-Hodgson-Hansen
Raymond-Kesler-Booth
Volpatti-Lapierre/Malhotra-Weise

Wasn't expecting Raymond back anytime soon but those lines seem to imply he is going to play.

On a side note, it's nice to see lines built around the players who are playing the best and not who the coach wants to get going.

If those lines stick, Kess still sees over 20 mins icetime next game imo.

Obviously Hodgson needs to play centre, but there are two or three centres better than he right now.

Hopefully Raymond plays well enough to up his trade value.

What 2 or 3 centers are those? keeping in mind you can likely switch the practice 2nd and 3rd lines and have hodgson on the third line I don't see the issue.

Kesler has not been better. Henrik and Lapierre have but LaPierre has been good precisely because he is being put in the proper role.

Hodgson has been good on the offensive side of the puck and having two responsible and quick wingers should be a good thing.

though for Kesler at least last night he started dumping and chasing a bit instead of the shot into shinpads technique he was using before.

Would seem that the coaching staff disagrees...

Personally I dont think this is about Hodgson playing at center or wing (he's been fine in both positions), I think it's about playing the best line up and right now.

Manny has been the the worst player on the roster so far this year so he comes out and opens up a spot in the middle.

Kess, Hank, Lappy.

By rights, Lappy is our 3rd line centre at this point.

Obviously Hank is our 1st line centre.

And, although not back to his usual superstar standards, Kess is still MUCH better than Hodgson as a #2 centre right now.

Kess is still filling a vital role on the PP & PK don't forget.

As I said, he'll see over 20 min icetime next game if those lines stick.

Hodgson, about 15??

And that's fair enough.

Lappy deserves more icetime than Hods right now imo, but he won't be getting that...

Like I said, Hods should be playing centre... and it's great if Canucks can give him a coupla good two-way forwards to work with. But it's tough finding legitimate icetime for Centre #4 on a team with Hank, Kess, and Lappy. Dude doesn't kill penalties and there isn't alotta time left for the second unit PP.

Oh I doubt the coaching staff disagrees...

Hodgson is not likely to see his minutes increase much if at all with those lines.

This is about moving Hodgson back to centre where he belongs. (smile)

Yes, Manny has sucked and deserves to be benched.

Hods can have his minutes, how's that sound? (grin)
