What a wank. I heard calgary radio this morning finally accepting that hes not ever going to be Cam Neely and that the team should entertain moving him along. Thats a first
Full clip where he breaks his stock on the ice while flashing at the ref after the goal. LOL
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I’m sure glad we didn’t draft him because Doyle hates Rat type players. He hated Cooke and Burrows and certainly would’ve hated the Wenneberg Sucker Puncher

Tkapuke's next contract starts with a 9 or he walks as a UFA.

His qualifying offer is $9M (15 months from now) I've mentioned this before...

Regardless if he’s a rat or not he’s a good player. He has a lot of value. Olli Juolevi is not a good player. He has little value. It was a poor draft pick. I’d have been fine with Jakob Chychrun too, said as much at the time. Juolevi was a weak pick.

I'm not going to get into the OJ vs Tkapuke thing, but Tkapuke doesn't hold much value ATM.

He's been on a 23-goal .8-points-per-game pace over the last 2 seasons.

Not to mention he is one of the least respected players in the league.

And as I said, in 15 months his qualifying offer is $9M.

How much would YOU give up in a trade for dat dere?

Gratzi for not making that a thing. His value isn’t what it is a year ago. But I’d think if they were agressive in moving him soon they’d get a decent return. But yeah if the downward spiral continues his value will crater. Fuck the Flames.

I actually think Sutter would have been a better fit here than Calgary

Yeahno, they'd be better off hanging onto him and praying he starts scoring.

But realistically the question needs to be asked:

What kind of a contract will Turtle get as a UFA in 15 months time.

Hopefully that will be something that the team he is traded to will have to work out.

And everyone knows NJ born american Johnny Gaudreau is gonna bolt to the East after next season as a UFA.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Flames netminder Markstrom hasn’t been the same since collision with former teammate;;

It’s fair to wonder.
Markstrom insisted after Tuesday’s practice that the wreck with Pearson wasn’t a turning point — he reminds that he remained in that game and started another three nights later — but there is no denying that he hasn’t been the same since.

In 11 starts since his injury, No. 25 is 4-6-1 with a 3.02 GAA and a cringe-worthy .890 save percentage. After saying on St. Patrick’s Day that he would never hook his netminder, Darryl Sutter changed his mind and relieved Markstrom after 40 minutes in Monday’s lopsided loss to the Winnipeg Jets. (The visitors scored the last of five unanswered goals on backup David Rittich.)

“We’re not giving up much right now,” Sutter said. “So it’s making those saves, right?”

Next on the Flames’ schedule is Wednesday’s one-off against the Canucks at Rogers Arena, (8:30 p.m. MT, Sportsnet West/Sportsnet 960 The Fan).

If Markstrom is back between the pipes at what was formerly his home rink, he will be trying to snap out of a personal four-game losing streak, his longest string of setbacks since November 2019.

So it looks like the Canucks and Flames will be fighting it out for who gets the higher draft pick. Now that I want them to lose, the Flames will probably beat the Canucks tonight. They can't even tank properly
