Flames will get into the playoffs as a bubble team - that's what I predicted at the start of the season, and I haven't changed my prediction. A couple of years ago, they also had a terrific regular season, only to fizzle in the first round of the playoffs. I've seen this movie before, but they do have Sutter coaching them, so who knows.

It's amazing what a disciplinarian can accomplish in a short time with the right buy in. How long it lasts is another matter, but success can be intoxicating. The Kings seemed to think so.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

Darryl Sutter has pushed the right buttons in Calgary. I never thought it would work but it is working fine. What a goalie tandem. Jacob Markstrom and young Daniel Vladar with seven shutouts already. Almost all the players on the same page. Amazing what an experienced bench-boss can accomplish.

Brad Treliving must love Elmer.

Matt Tkachuk, Jacob Markstrom, Rasmus Andersson, Chris Tanev.

Fucking team has more shutouts than the Canucks have wins.

It’s ok, we just need to be patient.

Sad times to be a Canuck fan.

Not sure if anyone here has seen this, but this is a rendering of the Flames new barn. I've worked in the Architectural field for 45 years, and this is extremely poor architecture. It's embarrassing to say the least. I've seen box stores that had more character than this eyesore.

Modern saddles look a lot different than the olden days, that's for sure.

I think they should call it the cow turd dome. It's flat and looks like it is splattered all over the ground

Low blow AP!

Isn't that a little like holding your foot on someone's head while they're drowning?

If being a Flem fan means living in Calgary I am out. I keep saying the hockey gods are jealous of anyone living on Coastal B.C. Not many whales in Calgary nor fresh spotted prawns which I can eat like popcorn. The air in my yard is full of cedar and salt smells. As I type I can see the ocean, only a hundred meters away. And yes I have lived in Calgary for all of a year.

The jealous gods play with us. Hope is snatched away in one brutal beating in Boston, or maybe game seven in NYC in 94. Oh so close but 2011 was different. We thought we had the better team and we did. Made no difference to the gods. 2011 made me feel ashamed of my team and city. Apparently we can only have so much of a good thing. Would not trade my city for a cup. I am a homer and proud of it.
