Still in the top 5 for helmeted posters.

How do you hang out there Expat?

Glad to have you here though BTW.
It's been a couple of years since I last posted there. I agree - what a shit show over there - I'm embarassed that they are Flames fans. I like the posters here much better, so this is the only place I post.
Richardson wasn't getting into the lineup much anyway. Once they brought in Toffoli and Jarnkrok without subtracting any roster players, Richardson would only be used as a call up in case of injury. Then they basically replaced him with Ryan Carpenter.

All three guys on the Flames top line eclipse 40 goals. That’s amazing. And there’s back up scoring with Mangipane, Backlund, Toffoli and Dube. Solid top 4 d that can move the puck and defend. You’re welcome Treliving. Elmo gave you two top 4 guys. They are tough as hell and are going to be a tough out. Daryl the Dinosaur can coach. Who knew?

Daryl has made a decent bottom pairing D man out of Dudbranson ffs, and Zadorov, though those two may get exposed playing quicker skaters.

You’d have to put that Calgary first line up there with Boston’s and Colorado’s.

Curious to see what the Flames look like next year with Gaudreau a UFA and Tkachuk a year away from UFA if he accepts his one year qualifier.

I'm calling cowgrease to come out of the west. They're built and I can't see who will out hit, out score or out defend their own end better.

Darryl also put Lucic years of hockey life back into his corpse. His system improves teams instantly wherever he's been... just like Bruce, there it is.

Yeah, these Flamers are a team to contend with.

The main thing is always defence and accountability. Johnny Hokey or any star offensive player can't float in their own zone or not backcheck.

His teams always seem aggressive, swarming and clogs up the neutral zone. They may not always be fast, but the puck moves fast and accurately. Really good puck support when breaking out.

It really isn't too different than what Bruce has implemented. Instant update from the first game on.

Huh. That's not what I thought I saw with Bruce, but I never claimed to be a hockey expert.

Calgary can’t contain McJesus at all. Doesn’t help that their best defensive defender is out. Is Tanev expected back at all? Markstrom looks weak.

Bountiful is some tasty reading right now

Mike Smith was to blame for the Lucic hit. Lucic slowed, but Smith still turned into him leaving Milan no where to go.

Agreed. The league needs to change the rules and fix that bullshit. Come out of the crease to play like a skater and you're fair game.

It'll be an interesting off season for the Flames, especially if JG decides to bolt. Maybe ol' Murray Edwards will decide to sell the team to a Houston owner, I can only hope - useless bunch of fuckups.

Is it Darrell or the fans?

Sutter does not want a rebuild - he wants to go for it every year. The fans in Calgary would be patient with a rebuild. Hell, this team has been the shits for so long, and the present team isn't going anywhere, so yeah, they would be supportive of a rebuild. I'm not holding my breath waiting for one. Just more years of being "also rans".
