I love every move Jim Benning makes

6 to 1 in Vegas - I was hoping to get better odds when I put my money down last week.

Yeah as much as I hate to admit it, I also think that the Hawks are the odds on favorite once again. Yes - they lost a lot of sandpaper on their bottom 6, but they still have some of the best forwards in the NHL....along with 2 superstar defensemen and a solid defensive core. They should still have above average goaltending as well.
San Jose and Pitsburgh are my 2nd and 3rd choices respectively.
Vancouver, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Washington come next.

It isn't fantasy hockey, it's playoffs hockey.
I think a lot of people will be surprised when Chicago falls on their face in the first round, maybe against a hard working team like Phoenix.
There's a reason why Detroit kept Draper and Maltby around all these years, they were the sand paper and they kept the Red Wings wheel going. Some new blood finally pushed Maltby off their roster, but guess what, Darren Helm and Justin Abekader(sp) are exactly the types that Detroit wants to replace those two. Speed, grit, and sand paper.
(Just a clarification, I think grit and sand paper is two different things. Burrows isn't a tough guy, but he is hard to play against, and that's sand paper imo)

Re: What Are The Odds?
mark my words......CHICAGO WILL NOT WIN THE CUP. they have got zero bottom 6, and a choke artist for a goalie.
if i was a betting man, id say bet on Detroit or Vancouver in the West, Washington and Pittsburgh in the east

I'd pick Detroit or Vancouver in the West and Pittsburgh or Boston in the East.
But, what do I know I'm a girl....

I just don't think Washington has enough on the backend to make a difference still.nucklehead_88 wrote:LotusBlossom wrote:For me...nucklehead_88 wrote:mark my words......CHICAGO WILL NOT WIN THE CUP. they have got zero bottom 6, and a choke artist for a goalie.

Detroit is definitely a better team than Chicago this year I'll put it that way.

Call me crazy (many respected Psychiatrists have) but if there's a dark horse in all this, it's the Kings.
