I enjoyed Larschied he kept the commentary appropriate, he made it easy listening some times always keeping in mind that it was entertaining and wanting listeners to continue and come back. Then again he could call a spade a shovel and get real serious when it was called for, I think he spoke for the fan often with the frustrations . He was respected by I think the players and give fans an insight IMO

I hope Thomlinson can incorporate some of these qualities and doesn't get over serious with his views and keeps in mind fans are listening to a form of entertainment
cheers

He was great at what he did. He could balance between being a fan and being a commentator. He'd scream when we scored and get frustrated when we didn't .

I enjoyed his work and he will be missed. I hope that if the Canucks make a good run this year, he'll be able to come back for a few last games.

Going to miss Tommy and his exuberance and passion. Radio games won't be the same without his ability to bring one from their armchair into the arena.

Gonna miss tommy's excitement..

Shame he got pushed out the door.. They should atleast give him one more year. As this will be the year the Canucks win it all and if anyone deserves to do color during it . It's Tom

Interesting development... I'd love to see/hear BMo in the broadcast booth but only when his playing days are done... Good luck, BMo!

Wow - games will never be the same. I'm sad he never got to call the game w/ the Canucks winning the big one...he deserved that after all these years. Gonna miss ya Tommy!!!

Why have I read so much about people wanting BMo to do colour? What about him is so special? Are there any clips of him doing analyst work floating around?

Need to start a rally or something,

ONE MORE YEAR.

I don't know how that man would take it if the Canucks were to win the Cup this year right after he retires.

I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

tommy gave some of the best childhood memories. driving home at 8 30 at night in a blizzard on the way home from a hockey game in late november, nothing sounded better than john and tommy calling the game

Same here! The Canucks were pathetic in those days and I don't think any of us could have suffered through those seasons w/o those 2 at the helm. According to that article this is not Tommy's choice...sounds like Team 1040 let him go & wants to move to Tomlinson.....Tomlinson, who sounds like he doesn't even like the Canucks. The guy is arrogant and will never come close to what Larschied brought to the table.

Maybe Sportsnet will hire Larcheid and package him and Garret together to form a Super Canucks Homer Duo.

Shorthouse is due for a bigger gig with TV, 45 Sportsnet Games, 13 Sportsnet One Games, man I probably won't even listen to radio if he won't be on this year.

I wonder if CBC would have any interest in Tommy? Canucks has 11 Saturday Night Games at Home.
