I have to agree, there are still a few chinks in the armour, but we aren't doing bad (as a lifer, I can't bring myself to say "We're doing really well")

We're 4th overall, despite missing the d you mentioned and a goalie that is not playing up to his best level. In another post, I mentioned everyone having career years, and that leads me to believe that if we don't get 'IT' done this year, we may not for a while. In spit of all the progress we've seen, this team still has to get a few more players to step up (and someone needs to take Chicago out for us ;) ).

If San Jose chokes again (you think?) we could very well end up facing the Hawks for the Conference Final. I don't see any other team that can beat us as we stand now.

That puck that hit Luongo on the side of his head that last game.

You have to wonder.

If I was writing a movie script, that would be the point where the light came on for Luongo.

Assuming a 100% healthy line-up, I wonder if we'll see the following at some point:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Raymond-Kesler-Grabner
Demitra-Wellwood-Samuelson
Hansen-Johnson-Rypien (or Hordi or Bernier in there somewhere).

From what I hear, Team 1040 was talking about these line combos as well.

Yeah I would expect that to be the way we go, Farhan. Looks pretty good.

Grabner and Rypien would be the odd guys out for me to make room for Bernier. That guy's built for the playoffs. Grabner hasn't been really willing to get his nose dirty and in the playoffs you have to. Rypien's use is diminished when there's virtually no fighting in the playoffs but he'll put in his solid 3-6 minutes a night. Just depends, I think, on who we draw in the first round.
