The SAVE
We'll be seeing the unbelievable save that Jason Labarbera made on Mike Ribiero, on a Dallas powerplay with 11 minutes to go in a 2-2 game, as one of the great plays of the season.
Jason Labarbera has just endeared himself to the thousands of fans at GM Place, his 19 teammates, and the hundreds of Pay Per Viewers who shelled out 12-15 bucks to watch a grainy version of the game against their best intuitions. Myself included.
Jason, you are a stone cold legend! (*if the Canucks win)
Goalie controversy, when Sanford comes back?

Would have loved to hear him get one more the win - it would have been a huge boost for him. That save got the fans back into the game and I'm sure gave the team more confidence in him.

Re: The SAVE
Why is he still wearing his black LA Kings pants three games in?
I could see it as the first 2 games were on he road. But it's been 3 games now and he's been home for two days. No one can find him some blue Canuck pants?

Ummm "THE SAVE" we.... all ....know.
Very Luongo-like last night...but still not enough. Should have taken that game in regulation. Defensive brain farts.
Labarbera has looked good in a Nucks uni though. Glad he has worked out.

That save and it's reaction was one of the many things that woke me up last night. It was the only enjoyable thing to wake me up. After seeing I am glad it woke me up as it essentially saved the game for the time being.
GO CANUCKS GO !!!

Eh a bit overrated, he didn't even get the puck up. Still got us a point and LaRobya is okay by me.

Woot... Labarbera is awesome! Let's make him our new #1 goalie and trade Lui for Heatly or Kovalchuk

He deserved to win both those shootout games. I think these losses fall directly on the team. We had the chance to put the game away in regulation and we just didnt get it done. He did everything he was asked to do and more. These losses aren't his fault. He should be 3-0 not 1-0-2
Did you see the pool? They flipped the bitch

Re: The SAVE
Yup, I agree entirely. I was very disappointed with the rest of the team that they didn't put a better effort in front of a goaltender standing on his head like that.feritflame wrote: He deserved to win both those shootout games. Re: The SAVE
I actually expected after his first massive save that that would spark them. I mean he made it half way through the third if I remember correctly. 10 minutes is enough to score an inspired goal to give your goalie the win he deserves.

They're spoiled, I think after 2+ yrs of Luongo those cats are starting to just expect it.Mozy wrote:I actually expected after his first massive save that that would spark them. Perhaps AV should bring out the "Cloutier tapes" to set 'em straight.
