Tonights game

Post by Brian CC »

I have a single ticket to tonights game, if anyone wants to meet for a beer, pm me. I'm in section 303, row 5 seat 106. I am also trying to head down early and have a bite at the Shark Club.

I honestly wish I could get out there for that. But being in Ontario, makes it impossible.

My night will consist of tears and beers. Just like it did when the man last played.

When the Canadiens retire a jersey, they give out replica banners to the fans. Does anyone know if the Canucks are giving anything out tonight?

I would have given anything to have been able to be there last night! I got pretty damn nostalgic watching Mr. Linden speak and then watch his number be lifted to the rafters! Now he and Stan Smyl get to hang out everyday! Look I couldn't resist that one! Come on!? That was funny right? ;)

I have a question to ask the 'Nucks Corner. I am positive that there are only two retired Canucks numbers Smyl's 12 and now Linden's 16 (and Gretzky's 99 of course), but a friend of mine insists that Cliff Ronning number was retired as well! This isn't true is it!?

Please tell me I am correct, as a fresh copy of NHL 09 for the PS3 is up in the balance!

Ronning's #7 is not retired, Morrison wore it after him.

:) Hope that helps.

This mornings coffee shop question:

What team has the most jerseys retired?
I would guess Montreal followed by Edmonton

The Canucks retired #7 on behalf on the fans (the 7th man) in a completely retarded ceremony earlier this year. Cliff was there, and did some sort of "I give this jersey to you, the fans".

so, technically #7 is in the rafters, but not for Ronning.
