LOL .. Media accuracy at its best

Post by Madcombinepilot »

http://www.canada.com/theprovince/news/ ... 4a363e97c1
2007 forwards:

Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Mason Raymond

Markus Naslund-Ryan Kesler-Ryan Shannon

Taylor Pyatt-Brendan Morrison-Matt Cooke

Trevor Linden-Byron Ritchie-Alex Burrows

Defencemen:

Willie Mitchell-Kevin Bieksa

Mattias Ohlund-Mike Weaver

Aaron Miller-Lukas Krajicek

- Cap space: $2.7 million
I guess that Pyatt was not slated to pay with the twins, Morrison wasn't supposed to center Naslund, Cookie was to play the off wing and Salo didn't make the team??!?!???!?

what a wanker.

All media inaccuracies aside, it's a good question - Which team would you rather see starting the season?
CANUCKS: NEW VS. OLD

2008 forwards:
Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Steve Bernier
Mason Raymond-Pavol Demitra-Taylor Pyatt
Jannik Hansen-Ryan Kesler-Alex Burrows
Rick Rypien-Ryan Johnson-Darcy Hordichuk

Defencemen:

Mattias Ohlund-Alex Edler
Kevin Bieksa-Willie Mitchell
Sami Salo-Rob Davison/Shane O'Brien

- Cap space: $9.5 million

2007 forwards:

Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Mason Raymond
Markus Naslund-Ryan Kesler-Ryan Shannon
Taylor Pyatt-Brendan Morrison-Matt Cooke
Trevor Linden-Byron Ritchie-Alex Burrows

Defencemen:

Willie Mitchell-Kevin Bieksa
Mattias Ohlund-Mike Weaver
Aaron Miller-Lukas Krajicek

- Cap space: $2.7 million
Looking at the lineups, it's obvious that there's a LOT riding on Demitra. If he can anchor a good 2nd or even 1b line, then the Sedins are in the spotlight again for opposing teams. I think that Bernier is looking to be a great triplet and hopefully he won't get injured taking the lumber in the crease. The 3rd and fourth lines seem to offer a slight improvement.

Overall, I like this year's edition more ( but it's early.... :? )

Is this for rEaL?

Post by ClamRussel »

Look at the CURRENT lineup found on the Canucks OWN website:
http://canucks.nhl.com/team/app/?servic ... ge&dcid=23

Seriously, Johnson is now our no.2 centre, Raymond is the no.4 RW and O'Brien has for sure bumped Davison while MItchell & BxA have been split up w/ both of them on the right side and Salo on the left?!?!?

That line up chart they have hasn't been accurate yet.

what a wanker.
Salo was hurt to start the year last year, so perhaps that is why he is missing ? (Not that Botched-ford isn't a wanker, but maybe that is his excuse in the Salo instance).

I might be wrong, but I think the posted 2007 lineup was the actual line up and line combos that started game one of last year. Salo was out due to his broken wrist and those four lines were the ones that were trotted out to start the game.

Yet it was emailed to me today as part of the 'pre game highlights to watch for'
Seriously, someone needs to get their shit together....how hard is it to have a web guy who at least pays as much attention as any regular on here? That lineup was supposed to let the "fan" know what the starting lineup for tonight would be. Perhaps a "fan" should let the Canucks PR staff know.
