would you go for it, say if he'd come for about 1 million, or thereabouts?

do you think he'd come to the Western Conference?

I'd just like to see him beat the crap out of Phaneuf...

No.

Please, stop dredging up the worn-out relics of the past and just let them rest peacefully. ;)

i realize that a long season might be too long for roberts--but did you see him against detroit in the playoffs? there were entire shifts where he was a one man wrecking team. the guy still knows how to do it.

plus he has one of the great "tough as nails" mugs ever.

Experience & grit ... for a reasonable price that might be ok ...

... he can help out with the young up and comers and offer an element of grit for which we have not had a lot of in recent years.

... he might not be good for a full season but that I guess is where we look at the reasonableness of his salary offer.

Fellas, the Canucks are rebuilding (or whatever you want to call it without getting your gaunch in a knot). You don't rebuild with 42 year-olds. We need 22 year-olds.

Rebuilding ?? What again ??? Yeah unfortunately you are right however I think the odd 42 year old to have around and nuture them isn't all that bad. If BMO, Naslund & Linden are gone we have lost some of our veteran leadership. Should we be able to get Roberts at a reasonably cheap salary I think it would be ok... ask the Pens if they appreciated him around this last year.

No.

Hell no.

The only reason Roberts look "fresh" in the playoffs is he played 38 games in the regular season and 11 in the playoffs.

Thanks, but no.

sadly we wouldnt play the Sens in the playoffs unless it was the finals. but that time Roberts groin would be aged beyond repair from sitting too long.

he is way too expensive for his age and brittle body.

I mean no disrespect for him

Be good to get someone with Roberts ballz... but he's little old now... and little pricey for his age.. Or maybe we can get Tiger Williams outta retirement ?
