New RBK Jerseys

Post by ClamRussel »

I've given them a chance & I just do not like the new cut of jerseys at all.
I think they look silly, almost like a joke was played by giving them shirts that don't fit.
Way too tight up in the shoulders/arms area.
They look like air hockey figures.

Overall, I've been disappointed with the new jersey designs. Asides from Boston and Columbus, most of the new jerseys are either average, mediocre, or downright horrible.

For me its more the tighter slim fit of the jerseys but ya the overall designs haven't been that impressive either. I always liked the way the old jerseys hung, I know they were heavier but I thought they were classy & sharp!

Looks like some of the players aren't that impressed with the new jerseys either. Apparently they do their job a little too well...
"[The sweaters] don't soak anything in, which I guess is what they wanted," Recchi said. "But the problem is, it goes through all of your equipment. It goes into your gloves, goes into your skates."

And eventually saturates the leather in both, leaving the players feeling as if their hands and feet are immersed in liquid. Perhaps because, at least in some cases, they are.

Could you imagine how bad they would look if they went with the tucked in look that RBK first wanted to do.

Let's just hope the fans respond by refusing to buy these pieces of crap. I know I'm not going to.

To me the new shirts look like they were shrunk in the wash, still don't like the cut at all.

Agree with all the comments! Although the moronic giant goon jersey was stupid....once again the happy medium has missed the NHL.
Remember Orr or Gretz saying that they could have scored that goal but their jersey was to heavy? When was the weight of the jersey ever a question? Dumb.
Also, I've noticed in all the fights this season the players arms come out of the sleeve very easily...back to half naked players/goons fighting each other.....
Can the NHL make any decisions that are good for the game?

Yep the colours are perfect! I'm hoping we keep these colours from now on to regain the tradition and have some stability longterm like the classic teams.

Agonizing over the shirts was fun when it was the closest thing to hockey we had.

But the truth is, once the puck is dropped, I never notice what the shirts look like except to tell the teams apart.

Does anyone really look up from watching the game and say 'their shirts aren't as nice as they could be?"
