Why wasn't the face of the franchise at this special event?

Why wasn't our Seven million dollar man at the jersey launch?

Is he still down in Florida skating with the Panthers?

Nonis said pretty much the whole team was back in Vancouver.. why isn't Luongo?

Not one NHL team has featured a goalie at its jersey launch. Maybe the new ones don't fit goalies?

He's at goalie camp with that french guy in Quebec.

There's nothing to worry about - he didn't need to be here to try on the jersey he'll be playing in next month. Let him have his time off. God knows, come Oct. 5, he won't be taking too much time after that until July 08.

Well it was him and Naslund in the ads... and last I checked Sweden is farther away from Vancouver then Florida...

Anyway.. about the jerseys.. I like them, thank god they didn't bring back the stupid stink in rink.

But the Lions still have the best jersey in this city.

I like the jerseys. i have been to a couple other sites and people are bitching and moaning like hell.
I like the blue on the arms of the white jerseys and although the skate logo is still my favorite, it was good to see the stick in rink on the arms. i love the colors!

People need to relax about the jerseys, what really matters is how the players who pull them on play the game in the upcoming season!
Is it time for hockey yet? I'm starving for something worhwhile to talk about.

Relax JOS, I'd rather have my franchise goalie training than at a photo op.

whats your point? it doesnt matter does it. did it matter to you to think how teh team will perform? how he will perform. players do have other commitments. I hate it when people try to stir up anything with a thread like this when a player doenst show up for one activity. I would rather have just 2 players that live in the area rather than disrupt someones training schedule before camp.

I do believe Captain Canuck, Markus Naslund was there and was the first player on hte ice.

Um, literally, the "face of the franchise" is the Orca. And, correct me if I'm wrong, Fin was present. Or was that Dave Pratt firing t-shirts out of a bazooka?
