Bert to Ducks
We always knew Bert was a headhunter.
But is he really pussy-whipped too?

All of them 6-3 210lbs+... That is insane.
this, is, Fkin, SCARY.
if Burke is able to revive Bert's play to year 2002, the Ducks would be BETTER then what they had last year.
This signature hates SOB as much as the guy who wrote this signature.

Brian Burke deserves credit for putting the finishing touches on a Ducks team that won the Stanley Cup. Bringing back Selanne and signing Niedermayer as a free agent as well as picking up Pronger were bold moves.Cornuck wrote:There goes the repeat.
But let's not forget that Burke inherited a team with great youth (Getzlaf, Penner, Perry), a great goalie (Giguere). Brian has now overpaid to sign Schneider (??) and overpaid to sign Bertuzzi.
Let's see if they repeat again.

Better? I don't think so if Selanne and Neidermayer do retire. I think they are going to end up missing the sniping ability of Selanne. I don't think Bertuzzi can replace those 48 goals and he certianly won't be dangerous in the same situations that Selanne was dangerous.Jelly wrote:levelheaded wrote:Can you imagine that 2nd line?

I thought Nediermayer was looking worn down through the playoffs (it doesn't surprise me he is seriously thinking of retirement because of it), but even so as good as Schneider is he is no replacement for Neidermayer. Burke is doing his damn best to tread water but I'm not sure he's going to be successful at it. He may have added size with Bertuzzi but he also added an attitude, immense ego, often lazy player and more penalties.

Obviously Burke knows the bullshit that the media was feeding to us all was complete crap about Todd's lokeroom behavior. The only distraction about Todd was the media's inability to get over the fact that Todd had little time or respect for them. Tough break for us fans.
I hope it works out for both Todd and the Ducks. I like the style they play and hope Nonis is paying attention. Or were going to be stuck watching Loungo make great saves, Agood first line and three fourth lines with no toughness for awhile.
