Another display of the Canucks not getting any respect. Donnelly does this during the regular season. Yet Edmonton does it during their playoff run and they're portrayed like great fans or something. Ottawa is doing it too.

We need a tradition like Detroits octopus tradition that no one either wants to copy, or one that it is so ridiculous it only stays with vancouver. But i still love the towel power.

How about a tradition of Luongo in our net, score by committee, and win the Stanley Cup year after year after year after year...?

For the record, "Oh Canada" is what you say when you have sex with Canada.

"O Canada" is this country's cheezy national anthem. ;)

That Donnelly rocks!! It brings a tear to my eye every time. I enjoy the fact that we can get together & "sing" together...& try to out sing the person next to you...it really sets the tone for the crowd.

Of course, GM Place started it. I can remember it very well in game 2 of the 2003 series vs. St. Louis after the 6 nothing massacre in game 1.

ps: i recorded it with my digicam from the radio coverage, it was even louder. ;)

I've always thought a nice Vancouver only tradition would be to toss a salmon on the ice before the game.

It's been done (1995 playoff series at least), but I think it's seen as a knock-off of Detroit's practice.

it was football fans throwing snowballs at the refs and players during the game at a game in buffalo if i remember correctly. there was also laval university students throwing tennis balls on the ice at a hockey game, toilet paper at nascar, hot dogs in baseball, flares in soccer, and bra's for cowan. among some other random projectiles.
