Just for the record, Wachovia Arena (Wilkes-Barre) has 8,000+ seats.

I have listened to a few games when they've played in many different rinks down in the detroit/toronto vicinity (can't recall exactly where), but they've talked about there being only 1000 or 2000 people there. At that point, I suppose they're not there to make money but more to provide a place for NHL prospects to play...although how some teams survive like that is amazing. The Moose have generally been in the top quarter or so in the AHL for attendance. Especially in the playoffs. A couple of years ago (lockout year), they were selling out their building for ever single playoff game. They were heads and tails ahead of the rest of the AHL for attendance in the playoffs.
