Yannick Tremblay
This guy made a huge impact offensively last night. It was nice to see some flow and shots from the point on the PP. Looks like he's got something to prove. I was stunned to find his contract only $450,000 - wow. Why didn't this guy make the team in Sept?

Not defensively responsible but it's a long time since we have seen any one nail a one timer like that on the P/P. Sopel was the last guy and ir's some thing tht has been lack. I'm gald to see they switched up the P/P to more point shoots rather than the cycle and the tick tack toe tap in's Long over due. Not as pretty but more effective the balst from the point
cheers
I thought he got injured late in the preseason? Or did he really lose the job to Rory and Luc?
Anyway, I saw him play in a pre-season game in San Jose, and I liked what I see, that he has offensive skills but is your average 5-6th PP specialist with limited ability defensively. That's probably not a bad thing.
Speaking of the point shot, I just wonder why Bieksa has not been shooting much like he used to do earlier in the season. I thought both Kraijcek and Bieksa should be shooting more too.

Tremblay was injured earlier, if I remember correctly. Still, in preseason I never remember him jumping out too much, maybe he didn't win a spot outright anyways, injury or not. Still, from how it sounded (couldn't watch the game, only had the radio) he wasn't too bad defensively. Any glaring errors? For a 5/6 Dman thats all you're really asking for, that he can hold his own.
At this point he's on pace for 159 points this season! Our offensive woes are over!!!

It's not really fair to judge a guy after just one game. Almost ALL players play above their usual level when they're trying to earn a roster spot (or prove themselves). I'm not surprised at all by Tremblay's performance. If he can do this 15-20 games from now, then THAT will say something.Big Bird wrote:Yannick Tremblay

Remember when Alex Burrows scored a hat-trick last season? Remember when guys like Steve Kariya and Jason King made tremendous first impressions?!?
