Yeah 3 goals off doesn't seem like alot does it ??? I'll put a different spin on it ... his production is down 60% from last year !!mattola wrote:2005-2006 canucks 20 games in Carter had 5 goals and 5 assists

He would have looked better in a Canucks uniform for less money and producing. If he keeps on this pace his market value will most assuredly crash and his 05-06 success will be attributed to the Sedins.

Taylor Pyatt has more goals than Carter...how many does Anson have this year?Ropesauce wrote:Lets see here:
Carter was the teams leading goal scorer last year
Morrison makes $3.2 mill..
All those who said you could put anybody out with the Sedins and the results would be the same have been proven wrong.
How is he not worth $2.5 mil.
Carter never offered to play here for 2.5 million. He wanted 9 million dollars over 3 years...the Canucks were not willing (and rightly so) to tie up that much cap money in him.
Had he asked for a 1 year deal at 2.5, I am sure he would be a Canucks today...
Pyatt may have more goals than Carter this year because he's playing with the Sedins and Ansons on the leagues worst team, but I highly doubt Pyatt will finish with 33 goals or be the teams leading goal scorer.
I don't think the Canucks should have signed Carter for 3 yrs @ 9 Mill.,but to imply he's not worth 2.5 for 1yr. is ridiculous(and yes I realise that deal was never available to the Canucks while they had cap space).
Carter and the Sedins had chemistry
He knew what he had to do to be successful with the Sedins and most importantly he did it better than anyone else who has played with the Sedins.

Not a chance, ....... when AV plays him as a checker. Pyatt is not being treated like Carter was. Frankly I'm on a bit of a save Pyatt campaign here. the guy puts up the second highest goals on the team and AV drops him down to checking duties. I know AV is a bit of a sacred cow right now ( give him time) but if I recall when Pyatt was taken off the twins line he may have had more goals than Naslund. No doubt Naslund has enjoyed success playing with the twins but at $6mil he should be not only scoring but make the others on his line look good.Pyatt may have more goals than Carter this year because he's playing with the Sedins and Ansons on the leagues worst team, but I highly doubt Pyatt will finish with 33 goals or be the teams leading goal scorer.
Henrik has 3 goals and Daniel 6
