My tv died about two weeks ago and the geek squad will be here tomorrow to hook up my new one and new sound system. I'm almost ready for the season. Dont need new glasses now!!
Our TV in our living room died in early July. Got any suggestions of what to get? We have other TVs in the house so there's been no big rush to date.
I am partial to Samsung. I went with the QLED

It's obvious we'll see another season of the NHL not caring about their stars, and we have nothing to push back after those cheap-ass hits.
This kind of comment always pisses me off.

Are you saying there needs to be two rulebooks?
There's always 2 rulebooks - one for regular season, one for the playoffs / one for the first 5 minutes, one for the last 5 minutes - but a cheap hit is a cheap hit. Should the refs consider who the player is when making a call? In many cases, yes. Is the hitter a repeat offender? Is he known for cheap shots? Should he get the benefit of a doubt? If a player grabs an opponent and wants to throw down, does it matter who that opponent is?

My main concern is that the league plays lip service to hits to the head, boarding, etc - and when the stars of the game are on the receiving end, and injuries pile up, the game suffers.

So you want the refs to make up the rules as the game goes on instead of calling a consistent game.

Do teams designate who their star players are for protection by having them wear bubble wrap or a lacy pink skirt?

I would LOVE to see NHL refs call a consistent game - but what are the odds of that happening? If they did, we would see calls like the hit to the numbers into the boards called as boarding, given a major and move on.

So if they can't be consistent, they need to be even more inconsistent.

I'd rather they do away with the instigator nonsense and let the players police themselves.
