When he came up I believe Mogilny had some decent things to say about his game and he caught some ice time with he and Cassels which may have resulted in some illusionary hope for Nuck fans.
On a personal note I think our boy Blob would have liked him due to.....
.....I saw Steve at our local gym a few times and the kid had thighs like tree trunks.
Luongo is indeed a sad tale.
Weak states of metal endurance beat him down.
Not our fault....
I merely bugged the Chef about his choice of attire when he had bird legs

Was moreso a tease about that than any Chef muggings.

Re: “I was wrong about this player”
Pit Martin was a let down as well Derek Sanderson. Had high hopes for Arthur Rutland and Moe Lemay. Jere Gillis was a major tease in the mould of Aron Sedlbauer. Rick Girard racked up major points in the WHL had high hopes for him, never saw it coming from Tanti and Skriko. Denis and Barry Pederson were major disappointments as well as Brent Peterson. Loved Bobby Manno, Sergio Momesso, Enrico Ciccone, Caesar Maniago, Volpati, Tom Sestito. Dan Woodley pissed me off as well Polasek, Mike Wilson, Stojanov. Sandlak didn’t come as advertised. Loved Headly Blight, Lupul, Lalonde, Lever, Smyl, Fraser, Delorme, Gradin, Williams, McCarthy, McIlhargy, Kurtenbach, Snepsts, Rota, Bolderev. Larionov was too past his prime, don’t go there with Krutov. Rob Gordon stunk as well as Brad Ference, who was that other bust 1st rd pick D-man around when Ference was picked. Loved Butcher, Lanz gets a pass, Daigneault like what the fuck, who was that other French d-man we drafted high? He busted too.

Re: “I was wrong about this player”
Coach Tom Watt forced that trade, he didn’t like Cam Neely. My cousin was Cam’s linemate in Portland when the Winterhawks won the memorial cup. Both came from the lower mainland the same time. My cousin was a fighter, not a big guy but has a hand the size of a grizzly bear and so could pack a punch and I was talking to him about Cam at a family funeral recently and he said Cam never had one fight prior to playing for the Winterhawks and after his first fight there he said you could tell instantly he was a natural at it. The centre on his line was Ray Ferraro, they all nicknamed him Rag because he was always bitching. Used to hang tampons in his locker
