I hope we get to see what Podkolzin can do under a new coach sooner than later.....the kid has impressed under an asshat, he'd probably light it up with someone decent.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Thu Nov 25, 2021 5:07 pm Name your top candidates for this year?

The list more than anything, is for Doyle to chew on to hopefully reconsider his Blake Kings Love. I’m just trying to help the Cat

Looks like the Redwings will win a Calder trophy this year with either Raymond or Seider, ANA Zegras 3rd place.
For our own, Podkolzin finally being used by Boudreau properly, his points and goal total should increase exponentially, he may not win the Calder this year, but long-term he's everything we'd hoped JV would be, a power forward sniper.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Re: Rookie of the Year Calder Trophy
If only Jake had brains and some maturity and work ethic.
He'd still be a 1st round bust and a major disappointment, but with that size and speed, I wonder how useful he would be under BB? An elite 4th liner? Possibly even a decent 3rd liner?
I'd trust BB would be a much better positive re-enforcement and motivator than ol' what's his name.

I don't know who wins it, probably Zegras or Raymond, but I might take Spencer Knight if I'm starting a franchise.

Re: Rookie of the Year Calder Trophy
Are Turcotte and Byfield, Rob Blake’s Virtanen and Juolevi? Maybe maybe not but one thing is for certain they could’ve picked FAR better prospects than those two, I’d like to add Vilardi (2017 draft) in there as well, since Necas, Norris and Suzuki are fantastic players! Stay tuned

Re: Rookie of the Year Calder Trophy
Let’s face it Doyle. Your Kings dropped the ball big time. Could’ve done so much better in 2017, 2019 and 2020 drafts. I also noticed Brandt Clarke didn’t make the 2022 WJC team???
