Think they’ll grab Sven Baertschi off Vegas to upgrade on Petan?

Well yes, depending on what's going on with him.ESQ wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 11:34 amI believe if Hammy doesn't report, he can be suspended and the buried cap hit disappears until the suspension ends - Doctor?Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 11:24 am They waived Hamonic?

(for example what if it's mental health related)
The PA could challenge the suspension if it's not an unvaccinated situation.
(conflicting reports on that)

And then they Can LTIR him. Waiving, if he goes unclaimed, saves over over 1 M on the cap. LTIR saves the whole amount.

Re: Waiver wire next week
I wonder if they tried to trade Hamonic and other team(s) wanted Canucks to retain or some shit. Maybe they know he will get claimed? Weird one to me. If he wasn't going to report to Vancouver I can't see him reporting to Abbotsford so maybe its a precursor to suspending him?

I would assume this is the outcome they are going for.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:18 pm And then they Can LTIR him. Waiving, if he goes unclaimed, saves over over 1 M on the cap. LTIR saves the whole amount.

If it were mental health related, couldn't they just LTIR him?Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 1:06 pm

And wouldn't they be unable to demote him?
I get the feeling though that Aquilinis are willing to pay him his salary while this unfolds.

It says here that Ham has indeed been assigned to Abbotsford...

Re: Waiver wire next week
All we know thus far is that he has refused to report. So I guess if the Canucks want to keep paying him having him clear saves us a bit of money. I guess unless he has a bona fides injury they can't LTIR him either. I guess we will find out in a day or so.
