And as long as he posts them in here, he is left alone?

I know it's a lesser league but Klimovich has the tools to become an elite scorer.
The junior route seems to be favored by most. Some think the AHL . Where ever he plays this year, I think he should be encouraged to play to his strengths. Quick to get to the scoring position and burry them. Obviously there's more to development but he's already on a good track.

^See, this is a good post by Mick. An opinion that can spur others to post their thoughts on Klimovich about where they think he should play.

That's what it should be like outside of this thread. Throw in some humour and personality and it's all good.

From the small sample size I've seen, he obviously has a lot to work on, but I think going back to Europe or juniors especially the QHL might be a wasted year for him. It looks like he is already physically mature enough to handle pro hockey at the AHL level.

I would prefer he go to the Juniors in canada and get used to our culture, then 20 - 30 games in the AHL next season and then he can be the first call up. It just that simple folks (per ala RD)

The one advantage junior is that his ELC slides a year. Other than that I'm not sure. From what Ive seen he has the physique to play in the NHL and the raw skills but lacks the NHL structure to his game, like has been pointed out. To me the best place to learn that is in the AHL.

I won't be upset either way though. He isn't ready for the NHL, which is not a surprise but he sure has promise.

For that reason alone, I would hope the Canucks send him to junior. The Canucks need to avoid top prospects coming off their ELCs in the same year (like with Pettersson and Hughes). Doing it this way would most likely avoid Pods and him becoming RFAs at the same time.

Juniors make the most sense for the organization, but not necessarily in the best interest of his development.

Ah, I don't know. As long as it's not back to Belarus, I'll be excited to see how he pans out.

His contract would slide in the AHL as well.

(as long as he doesn't get called up for 9+ games)

I concur with your AHL preference.

Jeff Patterson's turn at breaking down what he feels are the biggest hurdles for the Canucks at this time.
Starting at 2:40 min. mark..
