He’s probably low 80’s there. But it’s from 46 feet, not 60. Gets there real quick. And you can’t throw a riseball with a baseball. He played in New West for a few years then went on to the big money teams and got paid. Great dude. He got drafted by Washington Capitals back in the day.Micky wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 1:51 pmNot any more, and maybe one out of five tries at my best. What do you figure, 78-80 MPH? Canucks: Taxi squad player Ashton Sautner has been placed into the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol.Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
Hearing NHL has notified teams it is investigating process of Evander Kane crossing border from US into Canada on Dec. 29.
Kane tested positive for COVID on Dec. 21, and flew to Vancouver on the 29th. In termination notice from SJ, it was alleged he did not have proper medical clearance. NHL is now doing full investigation This will likely prevent a Kane signing in the short term, as teams await the results.

Conor Garland on the Tampa game and what they expect from Carolina. 3:12 min.

Bruce Boudreau says Quinn Hughes was given a day off from practice today to rest.
Says Kyle Burroughs will play one of the games this weekend, swapping in for one of the depth defencemen.
Not sure if he'll get either Alex Chiasson or Sheldon Rempal (on taxi squad) in though.
After watching the film, I thought we were pretty good. We didnt get the result we wanted. I told our guys 'Play like that and finish a bit more and youre gonna win alot of hockey games'

After practice comments from Bruce Boudreau. 6:19 min.Asked about Demko's play the past 2 games: "his play was ok... I think they layoff may have hurt him more than some of the others. He was in such a grove." Suggests it's easy to think he's not playing well now given how good he was before. Doesn't believe that's the case.
Confirms that the 2 goalies will split the games this weekend, but wouldn't commit to who would start which game. Added that he feels their 4th line has been their best the past 2 games. We could see some lineup changes on D this weekend also.

Cool thing to see. Pod needs to shift gears and take it up a bit in aggressiveness in his play. More #8 like play in his game would be awesome. I think he’s playing too tentative.
Stand up, you diver.

I think it's a fluke, and would have happened anyway but over the last month, Podkolzin has taken a step back. He's barely noticeable currently however I suppose that's going to happen to most first time NHL players and I think he'll be fine. The culture change doesn't seem to be an issue.

Yeah...no surprise to see a first year, overseas player, especially in a stop and start Covid BS year, sag mid term.
To be expected really.

A different goddamn hockey talk messageboard!

I agree. At least I am not seeing things!
Seems like he is “playing not too loose” I hate to see that with anyone in life, especially a hockey player. When you see him on the bench, he still looks so young; he is. Going to be great watching him grow into the player we all hope for. I think he will.
