Why Marner though? Hes a choker
Why Marner on first PP unit?

Huberdeau is fine with me. Two best passing wingers in the game.

Do you think Marner shouldn’t be on the team? Put your Leaf hater glasses away. He’s supremely skilled and can P.K. He’s definitely on the squad.

Check out JT Miller’s playoff stats before the bubble. Marner is still a kid and his numbers blow JT’s away in the playoffs.

Guys writing off Marner but we need to wait for Olaf…

Plenty of better options for 1st unit PP

Check out mitch the bitch's playoff numbers

(never scores, only collects second assists when Matthews goes one on 5)

Ok so he’s not on the top PP. Put Huberdeau there. Look at JT Miller’s postseason numbers pre Vancouver. Hideous…. Not even in MM’s stratosphere.

Thats because since he came to YVR (which is worth 10x what mitch the bitch has done in the same period) hes existed in the mesosphere (which is so far above the stratosphere its got its own ((and waaay better)) sphere prefix)

Marner is a known and celebrated playoff choker.

Doyle is trying to play devils advocate while defending said known playoff choker for no apparent reason whatsoever...

Hes either bored (like me) or a closet laugh blower

Which is it?

JT Miller had 3 goals and 23 assists in 61 post season games up to 2019 when he was 26.

Mitch Marner has 5 goals and 20 assists in 32 games at age 24.

Miller had 6 goals in the bubble for your vancouver canucks.

Marner has not scored a single playoff goal since Miller has been a canuck

Miller is the better player.

Marner has been riding primetime with either Matthews or Tavares since day one all the while sucking sausage every spring.

Miller only got his shot at top minutes once he got here and absolutely excelled at it.

Miller is so much better than Mitch the Bitch marner and it aint even close

Miller was a third liner in the pre-Canucks playoffs, not really a fair comparison to Marner.

Plus Babcock liked Marner and he was the only young star he'd play in the final minute with the season on the line, so that's another strike against him

Ain’t getting into this nonsense 😎My point stands. One guy is 28 and the other guy who has obliterated the older guys numbers in regular season and playoffs is 24. Like I said Miller and Boeser would be afterthoughts on a Canadian roster if they were lucky enough to have been born here. They’d be on a B team with Bo Horvat. Mitch Marner is close to a lock on the A team. Thanks for coming out.

Why is there a comparison going on between Mitch Marner and JT Miller?

Marner is clearly a regular season player only. Sweet piss all in the playoffs. Generally means he dies on a stick when it counts. Oh well.

JT Miller, on the other hand lit it up with his Vancouver Canucks in the playoffs with 18 points in 17 games. Superior leader in the room too.

Don't know much about Mitch Marners talents but what I do know, Mick, is that to state that someone "clearly" is a regular season only performer at 24 seems premature.

Many players throughout NHL history, including some HoF'ers (as I recall a guy like Guy Lafleur took a few years to step it up for instance) took some time to translate skill into post season success.
